Re: PG Cavs: Bucks Fade
Tough loss in the end, but quite pleased with this game.
Green and Dre showed quite a bit. They get after it well on both ends, just a complete jolt of energy. Green was on one shooting tonight, but he’s also a tough dude who doesn’t seem to get rattled. Dre has sloppiness to work through, but his defense and discipline on ball look significantly improved. He’s also a great connector on offense.
Dame looked good outside the turnovers and getting crushed on some screens, but he completely willed us back into the game in the 3rd. The turnovers make sense when there isn’t anyone who can create facing the hoop, outside continually surprisingly, a little bit of pat.
If we could trade Bobby to get another dude who can supply energy like Green and Dre, but maybe a little further along in development, that might be all we need outside some health to right the ship.

The only thing worse than the Bucks record are posts like this.
Plenty of blame to go around, but you pick the guy who had 21 points on decent efficiency and had 18 rebounds in a game where the Bucks were in the game because of their rebounding.
All the posters who loved the pickups of Trent, Prince and Wright now know why they were available for the minimum. But I guess BP is the main problem. Sheesh.
The perimeter defense is still a problem. Must be BP's fault. I think he's the reason we have climate change.
Dang, BigO. Be nice.
I agree with you about the Trent, Prince, Wright. Never understood the hype. I think STJ was trying to warn everybody about Trent. But I think he was a fan of Wright (along with some other posters).
Not picking on you, STJ. I could be remembering wrong.
BigO has quite literally made this same exact post dozens of times. Bobby is not good, keep posting rebound numbers in games without Giannis though and fooling yourselves.

You guys, I just found out Drummond can get you like 20 rebounds a game and 12 points on great efficiency. He must be a good rotation player

Would you rather have Drummond or Bobby on this Bucks team? I probably lean Drummond tbh

Not just green but Ajax both give us something we need 3 pt shooting and defense. Trent jr has been so bad shooting the ball way below his career stats a big reason for some of our losses.

Been a little weird this season turning into a bit of a highlight factory account but he's got one of the best accounts on twitter for stat nerds. People watching the games are seeing and saying the same **** we are.

I'm not even a stat nerd and I could tell you that Portis is killing the Bucks.

All the signs were there. Stepping back, this really isn't all that shocking.
They're not good this season because they weren't good last season either and we didn't do anything to change course. Add in a little regression and a few dashes of complacency and indifference and you have our current team.
They're less athletic and less interested versions of the team we all keep trying squint our eyes to see again.

Re: PG Cavs: Bucks Fade
It was rough that Bobby was the last touch on like 4 empty trips in a row late in the 4th, several of them post-ups on Mobley, who has got to have a half foot of standing reach on him. It felt like that was the safety valve after we couldn't get the look we wanted for Green, but whoever was responsible for it made a poor choice.
We've seen Green do a good job staying in front of a lot of guys he theoretically should not have the foot speed to cover, but the theory proved out tonight.

Horst and co have done such a bad job in finding another 4/5 type player to takeover from Brook and Bobby. I know Giannis was out but Bobby shouldn't be playing 39 minutes in a game and we shouldn't be asking Brook to play 30+ every night either.

What's a realistic trade package for him look like?
STJ had one last week that I liked. Dame and Bobby outbound and Fred Van Vleet, Tari Eason and Kuminga coming back our way.

Re: PG Cavs: Bucks Fade
If Giannis comes back against the Jazz & we lose at home, I think Doc will be fired. He may w/ an l regardless. Even the f.o. has a breaking pt & w/ the roster investment they're going to get to a similar place as Griffin, only much earlier cuz of the record.
I'm ambivalent over the outcome I want from the Jazz game because I do want Doc gone, but we have to start turning this around soon, & losing to a terrible team at home is a bad omen.

Correct. Bobby is a good role player on a very fair contract. But on this team we ask him to be Hakeem. He ain’t that guy.

I thought Bobby played really well in the 2nd half, pretty easily his best play in a while, until about 6 minutes left. Not sure if he was gassed or what but his awful play from this season kicked back in then.

Good Year to hop on the Milwaukee Panthers wagon. Tickets are cheap they play a fun style.

He did shockingly well on Mitchell for quite a long stretch. Im not sure anyone was stopping Garland tonight, but he did get an awfully lot of good, easy looks no matter who was on him. Interesting he was basically a non factor last game.

Green may not have not have the foot speed but he uses his brain to stay in front of his man. Maintaining position. One of the few to use nis high bbiq.emunney wrote:It was rough that Bobby was the last touch on like 4 empty trips in a row late in the 4th, several of them post-ups on Mobley, who has got to have a half foot of standing reach on him.
