Bucks season is ending, Brewers are treading water, nothing going on in football for awhile BUT the Admirals start the playoffs with 2 home games against Rockford Thursday and Saturday. And they don't use Ticketmaster so no crazy fees. You can get a really good seat for around $35 plus about $6 in fees. Go see a real playoff team.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I have no will to live now.

The only good thing is warmer weather means time outside, golf, grilling. And my new house has a **** ton of work to be done to the yard and a real big garden to plant vegetables.

I've had a vacuumed sealed rib-cap in my freezer for at least nine months and I finally pulled it out yesterday thinking I'd have a nice dinner. Sous vide it for a while and then hours later decided I didn't want to go through the effort of cooking so I put it in the fridge. Took it out tonight after work, put it back in the sous vide bath. Four hours go past with the weather being something I felt I should monitor. Storms pass, another four hours have gone by.

I make some ridiculous mashed potatoes with a **** ton of butter and cream. Finish the steak on the stove. Take the steak out and use the extra cream and butter mixture to make a pan sauce with bourbon, peppercorns, and some gelatinous beef stock ice cubes I also made at some point last year and saved in a freezer bag. Some frozen corn in the mic.

Folks, best steak dinner I've ever had. Not even eight hours in a bag could make the rib-cap any less amazing.

That sounds incredible. Here I thought I was fancy smoking a pork tenderloin today.

Been eating a buncha pork tenderloin over the last couple months. Delicious, cheap, and versatile. Never had it smoked but it sounds awesome.

I don't eat enough steak anymore (only a few times a year at this point) to worry about splurging when I do. Highly, highly, highly recommend the ribeye caps from Costco. They're expensive but they're also huge. They come in a pack of three but they'll feed at least six, and probably closer to nine or ten. I probably ate a third of the steak I made tonight.

Not kidding when I say the worst missed me by literal blocks. It was kinda messed up. Across the street from me I saw a bunch of people outside on their porches taking pictures of something to the west I couldn’t see from where I was.

That's the radar from that moment as tornado warnings are going off. The worst went slightly northwest of me by what had to have been 1000 feet.

Ho-ly ****.

https://www.espn.com/high-school/story/_/id/44936054/syracuse-area-high-schoolers-face-charges-lacrosse-hazing
Members of a high school lacrosse program in upstate New York are accused of staging an armed abduction of younger players in an stunt that "went way beyond hazing," prosecutors said this week - warning that the students will be charged with kidnapping if they don't turn themselves into authorities soon...

...Fitzpatrick said a person driving the younger players on the team pretended to get lost and pulled over in a remote area where other participants in the prank lay in wait in the woods, armed with at least one knife and a weapon that appeared to be a gun.

That's when the students launched the fake abduction.

There were at least five alleged victims set up in the stunt, but some managed to get away, Fitzpatrick said.

The one who didn't escape had his hands tied and some sort of hood placed over his head. He was led to believe he would be abandoned, but was eventually returned home. While the student wasn't hurt physically, "emotionally, that's going to be long term," Fitzpatrick said.

Any recommendations for an inverter generator in the 5-6000 running watts range? Looking for something to run some of the house circuits during power outages. Thanks.

Cinco de Mayo fights in Saudi Arabia, I hate it.

Crowd might as well be ottomans (not Ottomans).

The intensity level of NBA playoffs (which emphasizes how lame the regular season is) is great. Every game is a game 7 in the NFL. Love it. NHL is fun too.

Very random stuff here but I entered my basset hound into a contest to be in next year's basset rescue calendar. If anyone has $1 burning a hole in their pocket (it's a fundraiser), we'd appreciate any and all votes haha

Meant to post this yesterday, but yesterday's champions league semi final between Barcelona and Inter Milan was probably the greatest 2 legged tie of all time. Best game ive seen as a neutral since the world cup final a couple years ago.

Go to Egypt. See the amazing temples and statutes and tombs and mummies preserved from thousands of years ago. Bat away jellyfish as you snorkel in the Red Sea alongside the second longest coral reef in the world. Take a Hot Air Balloon over the City of Luxor where you can see the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut from the glory of the sky. Experience a temple at night through a sound and light show designed to tell the story of the various kings and queens who once graced their halls thousands of years ago.

Just try to avoid the hot temperatures. We ran into a heat wave in Aswan and Luxor where the temperatures reached 113F. Lots of 4AM starts to the day to try to beat the heat.
