I was on the east side an bour ago and stopped in to Beans and Barley. I was almost ready to leave and in walks Bucks President Peter Feigen with his significant other (or so I assume) headed to the deli.

I walked past him and left. As I drove away, it hit me that I should have said something to him about Doc. I was headed west on North Avenue and turned around to go back. Meanwhile, I was rehearsing my spiel. I rush back into the restaurant and he's gone (5 minutes in total).

So there you have it. The fate of the Bucks was on my shoulders and I failed horribly. I have no excuses. My instincts failed me.

Feigen seems feisty. I bet he would have debated you.

Live on Pay for View: Feigen vs. BigO. I'll just have two words repeated over and over: Kyle Kuzma. KO in first round. Demand your money back.

Oh, how I miss Beans and Barley. :(

I used to see Feigin on the Eastside pretty frequently as well, back in the day. He's actually quite approachable.

Probably would have spite extended/promoted Doc just to stick it to a passionate fan

I was hoping we were gonna read more into the caption referring to him as an "NBA head coach" rather than "Head Coach of the Milwaukee Bucks". And yes, I'm at maximum levels of Hopium.

Have the Bucks officially said that Doc was going to return? Maybe the conversation with Giannis will determine that one way or another.

I don't think it's standard to put out an announcement that someone isn't being fired. If Horst ever does an off-season interview and is asked about Doc he'll answer but I doubt there will be anything more. But he certainly could still be let go. Larry Drew posed with Jabari after the draft, then got the boot.

I don't expect a formal announcement. But usually when there's some question about whether a guy will return, the team will leak something to a beat writer who will drop something into an article like "Bucks Head Coach Doc Rivers, who will return next season according to team sources, plans..." An afterthought statement which will make it clear that he'll be back.

I doubt Doc wants to stick around if both Dame and Giannis are gone. He could get a media gig in a heartbeat. He's probably waiting around for Giannis to decide, just like the rest of us.

If you type in Doc Rivers fired into Google you see the AI overview but also a few Report tweets from April 30th that he and Ham were fired. Was this talked about at the time? This thread started on May 3rd.

Honestly just trade Giannis if the plan is to keep Doc around.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
