Really can't wait for Jabari to come back. He looks excellent in that video.

Someone on here a few weeks ago made a comment like "If Eric Gordon can come back and do what he's doing now, so can Jabari". Was a great point, and I completely agree. Gordon was buried dead, and somehow resurrected and is playing like an All Star the past 2 seasons.

Bledsoe/Brogdon/Middleton/Jabari/Giannis lineup is going to be bananas.

or am I wrong? is somebody on this board suggesting that if he plays the last couple months healthy we max him out like I'm sure parker expects?

For me, I was stating what I expect MKE to do. I'm not advocating it.

I get that. I'm just going off all the guys saying they wouldn't deal him or overvaluing him in our future in general. this value is completely artificial. there is no value deal that's going to happen. if he was going to sign a value deal it was going to be while he was injured. that didn't happen.

my question was more basically is there a single guy on this board that wants Jabari parker at the max?

To the best of my knowledge and quick googling, Eric Gordon never tore his ACL once. could be wrong of course.

Of course Jabari could come back and never suffer another major injury, certainly possible. But you have to play the odds and judge risk/reward. Not just think best case

Jabari parker is a big name. that's why hes going to get the max or damn near close to it.

I love Parker and I hope noone offers him the max in the Summer.
I think we will try to pull a Simmons this year and don't play him at all or play him meaningless minutes just to put even more questionmarks on his condition and we will match whatever offer comes in the end.

I will not care about his defense until I watch him play under a proper coach.
He probably has low defensive IQ but even this kind of players can perform great on defense when you ask them to do simple things and in our system he had the most difficult role on defense without the length or the experience or the reflex to fix his many mistakes and recover in time.

I don't really care about his health because 100% his contract will have protections..

I mean big names like Demarcus Cousins, Paul George, Lebron, teams might come after parker, but only if they strike out with these type of guys. Dude's 22, and hasn't played basketball in 9 months I don't see teams having him on their 1st tier of FA, maybe he's in the wildcard section.

If it wasn't for the Bulls I wouldn't be all that worried about him getting Max. Money is tight in the league this year. They are one with space though and an obvious match...

Exactly.

We have yet to see our team fully healthy. Dam all that Jabari trade nonsense. At least for now. We need and should want to see what we have.

Now. As far as next season? I would seriously consider all options before signing him anywhere close to a max.

I would test the FA market and go big or keep Parker.

You have the first pick. 20 milly on the line. Who are you taking?

Depends. Does pRker get to write a letter praising thon first?

Is it just me or is Jabari is looking pretty lean in that video?

Maybe I'm just out of the loop, haven't seen him in a while.

Trading Jabari before seeing how he fits with this lineup is insane. On paper, he's literally exactly what this team needs. Can't wait to see him in action in February.

I recently said I was done posting on this subject but I must correct a suggestion made by a poster. NBA contracts don't have any protections for the teams if a player is often injured during the duration of the contract. There are some performance incentives like how many games played during the season but those are usually minor amounts of money compared to the full amount of the contract.

If the Bucks give Jabari a 20 million a year deal for 3-5 years, there going to pay that amount and that amount will count against the cap regardless if he is able to play or not unless he were to retire. NBA contracts are guaranteed. This is not the NFL.

I could live with the Bucks giving Jabari a 5 year 100 million dollar deal if the Bucks were to have team options for the first two years. This would not be my first choice but would make sense. That way if he gets hurt again or can't perform at a high level the Bucks have options. It wasn't too long ago Miami's ability to add talent was held hostage by the Chris Bosch saga where Bosch refused to retire and insisted he would still play. That situation took years to resolve. We don't want to be in that same situation.
