I’ve never had a good Johnny Davis I’ll tell you that

Davis was the 10th overall pick.

Too bad it was against the Herd. Baldwin and his team beat the doors off AJ Johnson and the other borrowed Bucks that day.

Baldwin shoots well, but is an unexplosive finesse player. He has a 9' standing reach, but doesn't take advantage of it in any way.

Here's Baldwin's game last week against the Herd. He's a deadeye long range shooter and the Bucks left him wide open time and again.

He has no quickness or footspeed and so is pretty bad on defense.

I saw him a lot in AAU. Played with Jalen Johsnon, Carter Gilmore, Reece Beekman and a lot of other good players.

PBJ sucks... Nothing like adding more slowness to the roster. We have Tyler Smith who is already better

The Wiz board is funny. They’re all ecstatic that Kuzma is gone. They viewed him as addition by subtraction which actually makes sense…. They’re also very shocked that they actually “won” a trade lol.

He probably wasn’t THE future but he could’ve been a big part of it. I am high on AJ and was paying close attention to the Herd. There was a lot to like.

As a franchise, we have no ability to get anything out of 90% of our drafted players. It’s insane. So you get in the habit of not caring about our young guys. We aren’t going to play or develop them, so f*ck it right? Then they draft AJ, tell us he’s a future guy, and that they are actually going to develop him. Fans start to get emotionally invested, especially as he starts playing better. He gets real NBA minutes, is productive with them, and BOOM. Traded as a part of a salary dump. What’s the point?

Again, it’s just terrifyingly bad asset management. Horst continues to show that he’s really really bad at most aspects of his job. Young talent being number one. Why draft these guys at all? Move the picks or develop the youth. You can’t sit back and do NOTHING.

Getting ready to watch the game and it's really starting to sink in that I'll never get to see #22 suit up for the Bucks again. :(

I can't tell if Baldwin is slow or not. All of his highlights are catch and shoot or sprinkled in with some basic cuts. He's like that one dude who robbed the Wizards then got traded to the Mavs, never to be heard from again. Can't think of his name. BRB...

Davis Bertans. They gave that dude 5/80. :o

They have a bunch of young dudes who need to play. Kuzma made no sense for that team, in my opinion. Let Alex Sarr eat.

PBJ is an elite shooter. But he doesn't rebound or do anything else very good.

Last week, a poster got incensed that I would suggest we were no longer shooting for a championship, but instead more of a second round exit.

Here we are!

Think of how much Horst saved on shipping though.

Maybe he wasn't the future... But with no draft picks in sight he at least gave us hope

Believe me, we are in the same boat. I’m pretty upset about AJ’s inclusion. It’s asinine at best.

I thought after getting off work and letting it sink in maybe I would be ok with this trade but nope I hate it even more. I get trying to trade Middleton but for kuzma who is a worst player and you have throw in a promising rookie who we haven’t had since Giannis is just insane. I have been watching this team since Kareem was drafted I was a kid and hated that trade but he wanted out which is different. We did get Marques in the trade who became my favorite player now it’s Giannis I hope he don’t go the Kareem route after this but I bet inside he is not very happy with management

Here’s my take on the FO’s logic of this trade:
* Midds is cooked physically. Kuzma is a worse player but at least he’ll play.
* we need to get under the second apron.

I assume we could not dump Pat’s salary without giving up a first, which is the right call. It’s clear the franchise values that 31 pick more than AJJ. This is probably the right call.

Team obv still values Brolo but I wonder what this means for him in FA this year. It’d be weird to let him walk for nothing now it seems unlikely we’ll deal him this deadline.

I guess the simple answer here is the Bucks had no faith in Khris’s ability to stay on the floor long term and wanted to salvage whatever they could. Kuz was an acceptable return. They’re #1 priority was to get under the apron and Khris was the most palatable way to make this happen.

Anyhoo this is def going to bite us in the backside. Whether it’s Midds becoming a vital piece on a contender in the next couple of years (likely) or AJJ becoming a useful to really good player (less likely) I think this one will be there with the Tobes trade in stupidity.

I do think Kuzma won’t get scared in the playoffs which hasn’t always been the case for guys we’ve brought in the past.

Now, the problem is it’s in place of Khris, who also had big balls, and not in addition to, but here we are.

Baldwin is not playable. I assigned zero value to him for the Wiz. Hope kuzma turns it around and focuses on his role!
