just checked the Rockets board....3 pages. As bad as the Bucks franchise has been, we do have quite a loyal following.....at least on this board.

Rockets have clutchfans.net though.

Maybe Herb has put in a new black "stiff" initiative.....just as long as they are stiffs.

Did "Dalembert" take out a one page add in the JS yet?

Also why Ersan isn't coming back. We're rolling with Udrih and Jr as our plodders.

If our team is resigned to keeping a swag-ful backcourt, then acquiring a defender like Daly is key.

However, if we end up starting either Dunlevy or Gooden (if we lose Ersan), I'm concerned our defense would still be terrible.

Might Moute or Udoh end up being a starter? You'd think Skiles would prioritize D above everything else, but then again he loves Gooden for some tragic reason...

He'll be starting his 11th season and we'll be his 4th team in 4 years. He has firmly entered the veteran journeyman phase of his career so I can see why Hammond wanted him.

But he is still a top 15 starting center. So this is the first "above average" starter Hammond has added in five years. #progress

Being the 15th best center in the NBA is like being called the 8th best team in the east.

I haven't seen a deck chairs reference made so consider this it. To be fair to Hammond with this move I’ll have to ratchet my win projection up from 38 to 41.

15th best center in the NBA

Howard
Bogut
Marc Gasol
Chandler
Jefferson
Camby
Nene
Bynum
Gortat
Cousins
Duncan
Okafor
Varejao
Hibbert
Noah
Monroe
Lopez
Bargnani
Hawes
Davis
maybe even Kaman

I can't really even see an argument that Dalembert is as good as any of those guys except Kaman, although some of them have contracts that are worse. Combine that with the fact that KG and Bosh are basically starting centers now, too, and Pau Gasol might be once he's traded, and no way you're talking top-15. Not even top-20.

Would definitely take him over

Kaman
Okafor
Lopez
Bargnani
Hawes
Davis

...next year.

He's right about at the league average for starting centers.

I wasn't saying I thought he was the 15th best center in the league. I was commenting on PP's point that even if PP thought he was top 15 (my guess is he was being sarcastic) that getting him wasn't a big deal...like being the 8th best team in the east.

Probasketballdraft ‏@Probballdraft

If John Henson slips by Detroit at 9, Portland could consider him but seems set on Meyers Leonard. Henson to the Bucks has legs.

Dalembert is certainly better than Camby, Kaman, & Okafor at this point. I'm one of Spencer Hawes' bigger fans and I'll admit he's not the player Dalembert is. Is Davis even going to be playing C? I thought he projects as a PF. I would certainly take him over Al Jeff and Lopez because those guys are defensive liabilities and empty stat stuffers. He's right around 15 imo.
