RS, you have made a decision to foster sanity and cooperation in your future. Strong work, and best wishes man.ReasonablySober wrote:So I guess I'll give an update?
Yesterday I called her out on all her ****. Got a new place to live. Stayed over at my brother and SILs place and had a great time grilling food and reading stories to my little nieces before bed, who are the absolute light of my life and the best and I would go to the ends of the earth to make them laugh.
Woke up to a monstrous text where she copped to everything, how awful she's been, how amazing I've been. She couldn't sleep, fired it off around 6:00. Did I send it to everyone in my family she trashed me to? Of course. My mom is hella confused but old girl amd dad are super pissed at her. Rightfully so!
Still can't wait to move out. Also, love you all. Thanks for letting me vent. Especially you, chones. You know I love you the most.

Still looks like Pulisic is getting a feel for the pace of play in the EPL, he's a split second slow when has has the ball.

He flashed some brilliance against Liverpool in the Super Cup, but he also struggled with some of the physical play in the league - especially when he tracked back defensively. He needs to put on some muscle, IMO.

Pulisic just isn't that great. He's still young but hasnt improved since he was 18.

What are you looking to do? I've spent hundreds of weekends in Three Lakes. PM me with specific questions if you want.
Is it you and buddies, you and wife, kids?

Three Lakes--check out the bear dump and bring Zagnut bars. True story though, was on foot taking the garbage to some dumpsters and had a bear encounter in the region back in June. Way too damn close for me, not one to eff with nature.
RS-- Sorry to read about that personal stuff, hope everything is better for you now and in the future.

ReasonablySober wrote:So a week before my wedding on the 10th my fiance called it off.
She missed living alone for the first time and it scared her. I'm really glad she called it off. In the wake of that decision it's made me realize how much I bent over backwards for her in every way. How I had to compromise on everything and she didn't compromise at all, not even once, even when it had fundamental issues with me behind it (I don't like spending massive amounts of time with groups of people because I get anxious, don't like to close down bars anymore, I like sports and videogames).
Myself and my family paid for literally everything for the wedding and we're not getting a dime back.
The last straw came this morning (we were gonna stay together and work on things, even though she's been a **** nightmare since the week before the wedding). She felt slighted on social media when my sister and SIL unfollowed her (they were right to do so, she was flagrantly happy on IG over the weekend we were supposed to be getting married) and she LOST HER MIND. She lives for affirmation on IG. For two days I've listened to her insult my family, say she never wants to see them again, that she wants both our families out of our relationship. But this morning the second her mom wants to meet with us (interrogate me) she asks me if I'd do that. I called her a hypocrite, said there was no way I'd be doing that. I left for work, found a new apartment with my current landlord, and texted her I was done with this bulls*it and I was done trying so hard when she was trying so little.
Guys: I'm really **** happy right now.
That's **** but you look after you man. I know she made you happy in the past, you've talked about it. I also know that pushing you to do stuff because of your anxiety may be something that you will take lasting benefit from. So I guess I'm saying it's crap now, but will have helped you grow as a person.

Best of luck to you. It sounds like you have a great approach to this debilitating news and are seeing it for the opportunity it is. Selfish people don't get unselfish. Its an issue I am trying desperately to work through myself. As painful as it is to move on it is far worse to gives years of your life trying to please an increasingly problematic series of demands.

DB, I had a toned down but similar deal with my college girlfriend. After 3.5 years, and moving toward marriage, it was the biggest relief of my life when she broke up with me. Didn’t have the heart to do it myself. Anyway, my advice to you is to have a great time this next year or two. Meet new people and reconnect with any you were pushed away from. Because I’m the next little bit, you’re going to find someone who actually values you, the relationship won’t feel like a a chore, and you’re going to live happily ever after.
Best wishes my dude.

We go there every year usually with my fiance's family. We go to Soda Pops for burgers and shakes and Alexander's Pizza (followed by ice cream at the Country Store)...it's the perfect summer weekend dinner spots. Soda Pops is a real old school diner that has some really good burgers, Alexander's pizzas are massive and they have arcade games. If you need dinner plans I highly recommend both.
Other than that we usually stick to hanging out on the water. Beautiful area.

I was able to return mine to the store I bought it at.

The place I got has a sixty day window I'm no longer in, which is a huge bummer.

Had to google those places because I'd never heard of them. We don't go to Eagle River much.

I would say keep it for the next girl since that's probably your best bet financially, but that could lead to some not so fun conversations.

Unless its a family heirloom, I'd say that's a huge no. No woman wants to look at her engagement ring and consider it was meant for someone else.
If I couldn't return it and your ex wouldn't buy it, I'd just put it in a safe deposit box until I needed the cash. Or I'd just sell it to a jeweler and eat the loss.

That's why you never tell her. It's important to start a lifelong relationship off on the right foot by withholding information.
