Less crazy than some of the ideas LAL fans throw out there.

Yep. Kawhi is one year short of being a ten year vet. He’ll do another 1+1 to get that max next year. CP3 is already rumored to be signing a 3/$90M deal with the Suns. Not a lot of teams have cap space for CP3 and are the level of contender he would sign with.

The Suns and Clippers aren’t taking back Dragic and Miami’s the rest garbage for either of those guys. And CP3 doesn’t think Miami is closer to a tittle than the Suns. And Kawhi is not moving that far away from San Diego.

The Heat always do something but I don't see them getting Kawhi out of LA.

Unless they become the San Diego Heat, zero chance of that happening.

I reckon Kawhi loves a bit of drama. Or at least Uncle Dennis probably wants to be wined and dined so I expect there will be at least a few rumors that will entertain us before the 1-1 is signed.

No idea if it happens, but Kawhi to the heat has been the rumor for over a year.

Uncle Dennis will push for the four year $176 million.

At the same time Jrue and Khris will average +5 more points per game.

Merrill, Nwora, Bobby, Giannis, Brook, Pat, PJ. Everybody will get buckets with him on the other end & Brooklyn having to makeup for it.

Crazy a guy with KLs injury history and inability to play basketball for a year will by pass a guaranteed 181m dollars because he wants a little more and an additional year and comfortably betting that contract will still be available next year.

One of the early Bobby Marks quotes said that if Kawhi opted in then did a 3 year extension he'd get $181M so I hope that is true and someone tells Kawhi that listening to his Uncle just cost him $5M.

Just because Pat Reilly starts a rumor, it doesn’t make it true.

If he takes another 1+1, he can get $235M next off-season, no?

Most importantly, a rumor started by a team wishing that one of the best players in the league will just show up wanted to play for them. Not based on anything Kawhi has ever said.

If Kawhi wants to win, LAC is closer to a title than Miami.

If Kawhi, wants to be close to family, LA is closer to SD than Miami is.

If Kawhi wants the most money, signing a 1+1 and then the max next year is the most he can get.

What exactly is Miami bringing to the table here to base these rumors on?

I dunno, man, why does anyone want to be paid a lot of money to work in Miami?

But if someone can get paid more to work closer to home on a better team and don’t seem to care about hitting the club, what exactly does Miami offer to that specific player?

CP3 declining the option isn't super surprising. Someone is giving him 3/100 (or even more) this off season.

Phoenix would be crazy to let him walk IMO but we'll see I guess.

I have no idea what motivates Kawhi. LeBron and Bosh decided it was the city to build a dynasty. If it was good enough for them then I wouldn't put it past another NBA star.
