I’m a bit meh on him. I think we’d tire pretty quickly of his bricking (albeit he was somewhat a more reliable shooter this year)

I’m not a Giddey guy but I can see how a team like Chicago (that despite what they’re saying publicly, I have to think are finally going to rebuild again) would be interested in him.

OKC was just the #1 seed. They were already officially in win-now mode, lol.

They punted the trade deadline instead of making a move to improve the team last year.

Would be pretty tempting for Presti to now make a grandfather offer for Markannen.

Shai, Caruso, JDub, Lauri, Chet would be pretty lethal.

What? No they didn't. They made a bad move, but they definitely did not punt. Hayward was a 15/5/5 player for Charlotte, three years running. That's exactly the type of move they should have been making.

LaVine to 76ers seems destined for failure. But conflicting reports of whether it’s a thing.

Lot of posturing going on. Makes sense considering the Chicago sh*tshow. Also Ainge apparently is involved.

Read on Twitter

League sources reiterated that the Bulls remain active on several trade fronts centered on Zach LaVine, including with the Utah Jazz and Philadelphia 76ers. Does this take-a-step-back move make DeMar DeRozan consider unrestricted free agency more strongly?

I mean he probably did steal your reply but that doesn't mean you both aren't talking gibrish.

Just cause you don't make some huge trade at the deadline doesn't mean you "punted"

Does Caruso makes OKC better? Yes, but I don't understand why they go for a guard when they have so many.

Pretty fascinating read.

I love this nerdy stuff.

Between them, Russell and Chamberlain registered 26 games with 40-plus rebounds. None of the 26 games were tabulated on the road, per Stathead.com tracking.

That's fair. I guess any guy who is available has their warts, hopefully playing next to guys like Giannis and Dame gives him more time/space and less bricks.

It was just like two seasons ago when there was a big expose on how the Griz’ scorekeepers were posting bogus block stats on Jackson Jr that handed him the defensive player of tge year award. I think this did, and does, still happen.

They addressed that in the article. Apparently the Grizz claim was debunked, and that makes sense. Too many eyeballs on the games, too much access to broadcasts to fudge the numbers now.

But it sounds like pre-internet it was basically the wild west the further back you go.

I agree with the take that once the internet arrived (let’s just say 2001ish you just couldn’t get away with that stuff anymore, too many people with too much time.

I’ve watched 1000s of Jordan games, and I think he was a defensive menace, but I also think a lot of stats in that era are less than accurate (someone will eventually do a deep dive in Stockton’s assists and it will be a thing, trust me). But Magic too.

They went into the postseason without a center so yes they punted the trade deadline. They didn’t make a win now move. Their move was taking on GH’s expiring contract to free up more space this summer.

The good news for us is that Paul George is staying in LA and not going to Philly.

Additionally, the Sixer fans were setting themselves up for Lavine, but with them also getting Caruso as the incentive to take on that huge contact. Well, that dream died today.

Sixers could be up a creek in getting that third star.
