Embiid is gonna be so much better on the defensive end than Henson, and way better on the offensive end than Sanders.

He will be better than both defensively, and is already light years beyond both offensively. As a 19 year old.

How about we just start Giannis, Henson, Sanders, and Embiid. Let Wolters throw oops all game. Championship.

Well, if you think he's going to make that much money, and I don't, look no further than Lebron and Bosh. Players are forcing their way out of situations far more frequently in today's day and age. You've got Kevin Love who may very well do the same.

Uh, how long did LeBron and Bosh stay with their respective teams? 8 years. Because they were restricted free agents and would have had to turn down a guaranteed contract worth huge money in order to switch teams. It almost never happens because of injury concern.

Even if they leave after that, like I said you almost certainly get them for 8 years.

Chris Paul? Deron Williams? As I stated, those things are trending the wrong way. I wouldn't be surprised if you see players doing it earlier in the coming years. It's a byproduct of the NBPA. I think it unwise to guarantee anything in today's NBA.

Nice, I just said in the post game thread if you get a core good enough 2-5 then Wolters might actually be a viable starter with a group like that. A guy that can set up offense and not make mistakes. Knight would be less of a disaster as a 3&D combo off the bench, have Giannis run the offense when he's in.

Embiid is incredible. Absolutely incredible. IMHO, you easily trade Sanders/Henson for an opportunity to grab him. It's not even questionable. If you've watched his all-around skill-set and basketball awareness in this Iowa State match-up. Just WOW. he continues to amaze. Start hopping on the bandwagon folks. It's not too late :D

Shoots free throws a helluva lot better than Henson or Sanders.

I'm falling in love with Embiid. My God is he good for 7 ft. Wow, wow, wow.

Multiple mocks now having us take embiid.

Just our luck though, he will move up to #1 and we will move down...

Right now I want Embiid.
God is good.

Any chance we could trade Sanders+Henson for a top 3 pick? Giannis, Embiid, Wiggins/Parker would be an incredible Big 3.

The point is this: Henson and Sanders, and especially Sanders, are not good enough players to deter you from passing on a talent like Embiid. I am not even convinced Sanders is a net positive with respect to his contract. Henson could possibly play next to Embiid and form the very long front court we have dreamt about, except with a potentially dominant 2-way super Center. I would take Embiid even if I already had Anthony Davis. Let alone Sanders and Henson. Pass on Embiid at your peril.

They had them signed for 8 years but traded them early to get assets. Both players also lead their respective teams further than any Bucks team since 2001. Sure the player could force his way out, but you get 7 years to put a quality team around them and hope they stay.

You initially questioned my statement that we would likely have our draft pick for 8 years - which going on history is almost a certainty. That's all I was responding too. I'm not denying that you have to surround them with quality players and coach in order to have a chance at keeping them - and even then they could very well leave.

There is almost no point in even considering getting a top 3 pick. Right now you just pray you get #1 and hope your team has the foresight to actually take Embiid despite having 2 other young C's on the roster. You then use your redundant players to make moves to get players at other positions to surround your amazing core of Giannis + Embiid.

Wow Embiid is truly a special player. Just crazy that he hasn't played the game that long.

Wiggins passes up too many opportunities to posterize guys on the break. Just now he could've risen up and dunked on multiple guys. Instead he misses the layup.

I have a felling, come morning, a lot of people are gonna be changing their votes from Parker to Wiggins or Embiid.

Embiid's body control is just crazy. I'm not sure he'll turn into a powerhouse on offense, but he really doesn't have to in order to become a top 10 player.

You really can't miss in the top 2, which is why the Bucks will end up 3rd or 4th.

It looks like Embiid has a decent frame to put weight on too. He already is pretty toned for a freshman.

Who was the guy saying Embiid is soft? The last couple of games he has been beating guys up.

What percentage would Wisconsin have to shoot from 3 to beat Kansas? I think it would be an interesting match up.

Absolutely. If we get Embiid at #1, I trade anyone not named Giannis for even a top 6 pick.

Just imagine the potential with Giannis+Embiid+Wiggins/Parker/Exum/Smart/Randle as the core. :droop:
