knock off the drama. the mfer was trying to get paid 85 million and couldn't stay on the court end of story

The great thing about this argument, is that we will have a definitive answer by January. Lets see how Malcolm does in a featured role, with Oladipo out.

Just to be clear, I am rooting for him to do well, and hope he does. But just don't see him as that level of star player.

Perhaps this was his reason for not wanting to be here? He really wasn't a good PG for us. He was IMO a SG who could pass a little.

I hope he does well too, but he likely is in a role that is larger than he should be in. I doubt we see 50-40-90 this year on higher volume with likely less open shots.

You really like discussing Malcom Brogdon.

Having said that, I can't remember a better example of a guy who casual (I don't mean that in an accusative or derogatory way) fans thought of so differently than those who watch all/most of the games. I noticed all last season, fans on the Bulls board longed for the guy and wrote things like: "can't wait to see his stats when he gets more usage" and "this is totally a guy who will bust out when he doesn't have to defer to Giannis." And while there are examples of NBA guys who really surprise you after earning a featured role a few years in to their careers (Harden, J Butler, etc) I just don't see it with Malcolm. He lacks the burst, elite ball handling, and shot creation that stars have. Love the guy. So smart, so measured, so in control, such a good teammate. But he just doesn't have the traits to shoot those percentages or log similar efficiency with an increased role and lesser cast. He better be working on a killer floater, because without Giannis driving and dishing, he isn't going to be able to get to the rim as he has in the past. His lack of a great first step + handles is going to limit him more than most think.

Yeah, I'm with you. I thought the Bucks' priorities were a bit scrambled this offseason. Much rather they'd have explored other avenues than paying Middleton $178 million, and losing Malcolm as a result. But as much as I like Brogdon, he has his limitations. And wasn't a guy stunted by a player or a system here in Milwaukee. Even as the primary ball handler, I don't foresee his numbers or impact on the game improving all that much in Indiana.

I wonder if they gave Bud a choice of Bledsoe or Brogdon for his PG and when Bud decided on Bled that’s when Horst Locked him into that extension.

Also said, "I'm as happy now as I've ever been in my NBA career."

Would this make him a Malcolmtent?

Thank you.

Bledsoe vs. Brogdon head to head will be interesting.

If he's referring to Giannis as a selfish superstar that seems incredibly dumb. I can respect his personal reasons for wanting to leave (play PG and have a bigger role on a team) but I can't buy or respect that the Bucks treated him unfairly in any way last year. He was involved plenty. He has no real case to take shots at the Bucks on his way out, just makes him look bad.

I feel like he tries to have it come off as readable between the lines while also making it seem like he thinks he's making it subtle, when in reality it's thinly veiled shots.

He's good at that. But yeah, really seems like he wasn't happy here and wanted out. That sucks, because I like him.

Good riddance. Hope Bled locks him up when they play.

Especially since, if there was a guy last year who I would say was the most selfish, it would've been Brogdon on his breakaway layups with a teammate running with him or Brogdon on his head-to-the-ground drives to the hoop.

Brogdon leaving has felt like a breakup. He went from one of my favorite Bucks to me pretty much loathing his existence now lol. I irrationally dislike him now.

Brogdon as a point guard is laughable. He will get eaten alive.

I'm happy for him that he got paid, now he can suck for 4 years as was mentioned.
