If Kawhi wants to win, LAC is closer to a title than Miami.

If Kawhi, wants to be close to family, LA is closer to SD than Miami is.

If Kawhi wants the most money, signing a 1+1 and then the max next year is the most he can get.

What exactly is Miami bringing to the table here to base these rumors on?

No state income tax on home games. Still paying it for road games. And possibly still paying it overall if he lives in San Diego in the off-season. Cali is not letting him claim non-residence status if he is living there in the off-season.
