If the Bucks trade Kuzma for a guard there's an uncomfortably high chance Doc "Best Coach In The World" Rivers will start Prince at SF (again).

Maybe Doc will love Gary Harris and give him tons of minutes

Absolutely to Khris Middleton; though, the earliest potential opportunity to resign him is if he’s bought out at the trade deadline. The next opportunity would be Free Agency next offseason; though, Bucks need to hope nobody offers him more than what they can offer him probably by way of the MLE or perhaps he’s willing to take a discount to rejoin the team. Of course, if he crapped the bed this season with the Wizards (or whomever) his market could easily be in the Bucks range to resign.

Thanasis should simply join the Bucks’ staff; don’t care what his title would be, but everyone would understand he’s the hype guy.

I scrolled the last two pages and don’t want to go deeper. Monk for Kuzma would this board accept?

Super random but was listening to NBA radio and they were interviewing Rod Thorn. Had no idea he’s still a consultant for the bucks

First for Wiggins, ok fair enough.

Lunacy for Kuzma, that’s silly when you consider what flexibility that just opened up for us. Unless you think there were a load of other teams lined up to help us out of cap hell.

Starting him, ok fair enough

I've already stated in prior threads that the trade could be justified based on the flexibility. Although, we are assuming that was the only trade available.

It is much more likely that Horst and Doc liked Kuzma and that was also a big part of the deal to them.

My evidence is how much they played him and continued to play him. They liked Kuzma. Whether they still do, we shall see.

Being an acceptable piece might be the case but I don’t think you’re wrong about Doc liking the idea of him. I think that has soured though.

So…. we are more talking Wiggins when the heat don’t want Kuzma and we have no other way to trade for him. But not discussing SAC who have multiple guys we would prefer to Kuzma and actually might want him? Got it. It is booze time CST so I’ll wait til the morning to discuss kuzma for monk or a more stretched deal getting Murray for a 32 pick swap or what not. Good night friends!

Is a sign and trade for Giddey legal, maybe in a 3 teamer? He's like the only player out there that simultaneously solves both the hole at forward and primary ball handler. I'd happily part with the 31 pick, 32 swap. The Bulls are a dumb franchise.

Bucks could probably afford to pay him $25M or so in a sign & trade. Trey Murphy III and Josh Giddey are probably the only 2 guys I’d be okay with the Bucks selling out draft asset-wise to get.

We are doomed

It is pretty depressing. Jimmy and Giannis both love Doc. Horst is just kinda handcuffed to him at this point. I hope Doc saw the light a bit late season, but it took him so **** long to stop starting Prince/Kuz. Everyone saw what he refused to see for weeks, months. Stubborn and dumb as they come. Shame on Horst for bringing Prince back, Doc and Ham surely see him as an integral rotation piece.

Unfortunately, based on Horst past trades I think it will be another overpay for a player. Horst just gave up two 2nd rounders to dump Pat. That should've been Pat and Cash for Micic. The good GMs dump Pat with one 2nd rd pick w/o any returning salary just like most GMs would've dump Midds without giving up A.J.

A trade maybe coming using Kuzma but given Horst’s history it's likely going to give up a 1st for Derozan, Monk, or Barrett. Those players do not deserve a 1st rd pick. You give up a 1st for Colby White, Austin Reaves, Toumani Camara, and Trey Murphy.

You’re delusional for thinking 1) that the Kings want Kuzma. Their old GM maybe, but he was fired and their new GM prioritizes defense, and 2) That you could somehow acquire Keegan for Kuzma and a ‘31 1st or a ‘32 swap. Kings wouldn’t include Keegan in a trade for Siakam, Markkanen, or Kuminga, but somehow they’d include for Kuzma? That’s crazy. Any trade for Keegan for require a drastic overpay of which the Bucks can’t make. They also can’t get Keon or anyone else the Kings value. The minuscule hope you’re holding on to wasn’t a report from a local Kings reporter or a national reporter, but rather a random thought from an NBA analyst on what the Kings could potentially consider and still it would be DeRozan or Monk going to Milwaukee with Kuzma and draft compensation coming back to Sacramento.

Most around here would agree that Keegan Murray and Keon Ellis are not realistically attainable for the Bucks. Or Devin Carter, for that matter.

I do fear that a Kuzma/DeRozan swap may be in the cards, which both fanbases would hate. I do prefer a Kuzma/Monk swap.

From one poorly run franchise to another, don't underestimate Scott Perry's ineptitude. GMs are doing dumb **** at a crazy clip these days.

Sorry to tell you, but your new GM is just as powerless as your old GM. Your owner still runs the show, and he still wants Kuzma. You're about the get fleeced.

Sorry man, we know what is like to have meddlesome owner. It was an ugly 30 years in Bucks history.

kuzma for derozen would be a good deal. derozen is basically if khris came back super healthy and just balling but with a 3pt slump. i think you can experiment with that
