I think they'll be in the playoffs or absolute minimum the play in. I don't see them as a title contender or anything but they were pretty good (and maybe more importantly, fun to watch) down the stretch last season and that's carried over to start this season.

The way people destroyed them for the Caruso/Giddey swap never made much sense to me, even as someone that generally isn't super high on Giddey. He was a terrible fit with OKC but it's always been clear he's a pretty talented player.

Late season play is commonly dismissed, but the Bucks, Bulls, and Blazers have continued on their trajectory, while Cavs have continued their malaise.

So is Ja Morant's time in Memphis coming to an end or what?

I don't think he fits the identity of this team.

I think anyone who can play like Kukoc can fit on any team. Small sample size but he’s now hitting 42% of his threes taking 3 per game. The defense is an issue but his size allows you to cover that up somewhat.

The reason I’m having fun with this is because when I tossed that TI out, I got completely roasted. You just couldnt’t write off a 21 year old with his skills. You guys have to list out a top ten of Aussie NBA players. Giddey will start rising the on that list over time IMO.

Chicago has a really interesting shot profile to start the year. They are only getting up 34 3’s per game, but still have the 5th ranked offense. Why?

Because they are getting an absurd 35 rim looks which are the most efficient shots in basketball.

Last year Boston led the league with 48 3s, but only got 21 rim attempts per game. So, Chicago is currently matching Boston’s high value attempts from last year.

We’re currently averaging 67 high value attempts which is a significant improvement over our 60.5 from last year.

Some observations from what I watched last night.

Cavs had nothing for creation without Mitchell and Garland. The raps, who have been giving up points for fun after the bucks game had them pretty locked down in the last 5 min. Mobley still leaves a lot to be desired on that end.

The Knicks got it tight late but the Bulls just worked them, especially KAT, in the last few minutes. KAT missed a few good looks and Vucevic did whatever he wanted against him offensively.

It should, but if I was a team I'd want no part of that headcase.

Can't say I remember the trade idea but I have found it weird that people wrote him off early like he wasn't going to keep improving.

Warriors blow a lead late to the pacer tonight. Makes ours look less great but maybe we break teams. Every team over the last week that we’ve played has looked bad after.
