Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions

Post#861 » by LittleRooster » Wed Dec 16, 2020 3:01 am

Also, I’m not a big Harden fan, and it could blow up in our faces, but I think it’s rare to have an opportunity to get someone like that. We may never have another opportunity like that with Giannis still here.

Because of that, I feel it’s a risk we need to take for the chip.

ETA: To extend my point on Bud, I think this roster could win. Hell, I think the previous roster—even with playoff Bledsoe—could have won if Bud could adjust mid game or between playoff games. To me, it all comes down to him

But what's out there for Brook + DDV? In theory it's a great package for getting an upgrade somewhere, but I'm not sure the right player with matching salary is on the market right now.

I'm not sure what's out there.

I don't hate the deal someone mentioned with Charlotte for Devonte Graham, Zeller, Carey Jr as I think Devonte would really shore up our backcourt.

Obviously I'm down for some crazy Lopez/Khris/DDV/Wilson for Harden/Tucker pipe dream.

The Charlotte deal would be fine with me but I wonder if it's good enough to justify potentially pissing Giannis off. I am 100% sure you are right about Giannis not wanting to play center, and I've been saying the same thing for a while. I don't think he wants Brook gone.

I'd legit try to keep Wilson in the Harden deal if salaries would still work. Don't care who laughs at me. I would think Giannis would understand that one, if not the Charlotte deal.

Yeah 100% Giannis cannot play center and will not, even if it is what makes most sense for the team. Sure we can flash it for 5 mins here and there but anyone who actually believes that's a long term solution is delusional.

I don't think Giannis is particularly tied to Brook, but if Brook goes we need a viable solution that doesn't involve Giannis playing any center. Whether its a platoon of a few guys or getting a totally different center that can play the bulk of the mins.

Yup. We will most definitely miss Wes and George more than most realize right now. I’m nervous about this second unit. Hope there is another deal to be made.

Wes was god awful slow, his only use was guarding bully ball players. That's useful, but only against a few teams. He was over exposed.

Hill was good, but seemed to be losing it. I don't know what to think of Augustin, but his creativity has been a nice surprise for me, and Hill didn't offer that. I hate that they paired Augustin with Forbes. I also hate the idea of putting a terrible defender like Forbes in the starting lineup.

The saving grace for the bench is that Portis is a massive upgrade from RoLo. He can run, he's switchable, and he fits perfect as a 2nd unit go to scorer.

Can Wilson be good enough on offense to keep him on the floor so we can use that defensive quickness? The lack of it got his predecessors killed.

Now that Giannis has signed the supermax, wouldn't mind trading Middleton and Jrue for Harden, Tucker and House.

Ok i said it many times, if Houston trade Harden offer them second round picks for McLemore, the guy can really shoot the ball..

The con would be that Stauskas isn't even a good European player.

I had heard that he had a rough season because of knee issues, had surgery to fix it, and is better now. I haven't really followed him though until we picked him up. I thought maybe we could strike lighting if he 's a decent shooter, and passable defender. Hopefully ddv get's better shooting. I was watching a scouting report on him, and it said his NBA three point percentage is right in line with the percentages he made in college at NBA range, like 35%. We're going to need someone who can consistently hit at a higher clip than that, while playing next to Giannis.

At least you knew Wes could play good D and hit a big three or two when needed. I think we take a step back from him to DDV at this stage of his career.

The Bucks were consistently better with DDV on the floor. Wes wasn't consistently good on D, he struggled mightily versus quick SGs. His inability to rebound or handle the ball hurt the team too.

Donte isn't a great shooter yet, but is really good at every other facet of the game, and isn't a bad shooter.

There's not a statistical metric that suggested Wes was even comparable to Donte.

Considering how fat Harden is, I’d say the price has to come down

I used to live close to the Dells and am 100% sure Harden doesn't spend any time there.

For what it’s worth (maybe nothing), she called this weeks ago. At least the first part.

Yes, I read though her tweets. I particularly liked the one about Giannis being in a soft core porno. Seems 100% legit.

It’s why the can send out Brook in the Harden deal, Harden’s big ol’ butt can lock down the lane of defense. Don’t need to be skinny to shoot 13 step back threes and draw 12 fouls a game.

DDV played much better than Wes last season.

I don't really think we're moving away from Brook as much as some here would like but I think Larry Nance Jr would look awesome next to Giannis.
