If there's anything we've learned, records don't always tell the whole story.

Plus the game seems like it's passed Doc by :dontknow:

They don't. But what else is there with Kenny? His teams didn't suck as bad as expected?

He coached a modern offense and defense, was flexible and got the most out of his personnel. He has consistently pushed players to expand their games for the team while also putting them in the best position to succeed.

Those untalented Nets teams never threw in the towel nor did they beat themselves through incompetence like those Jennings/Ellis led Bucks teams consistently did.

Hopefully it's draw/kick, inside out creating mismatches... scheming D..

The whole game was a disaster but the first 5 in particular was disgustingly bad. We still had Dame and Midds playing and the offense didn't look like it had a clue of what it was doing. Was such a bad, bad look on Griff and his coaching staff.

Chris Haynes didn’t confirm anything about Doc just now during the Lakers game

I feel like Griffin knew he had to blow out the Pistons at least once, and we got wire to wire games. Dude was using 7 man rotations against the Pistons without Cade, seriously the worst coach I've had to deal with

I really hope for Stotts tbh. Dame was probably psyched for the season (as much as he could be) until his old coach and mentor in general Stotts decided enough was enough. Figure he’ll definitely get a boost if Terry is back, not to mention the points recently about him coaching solid defensive teams given the personnel.

Would be hilarious if the confirmation was a canary trap and Bucks have someone else as their #1 target.

But more likely Bucks want to make it seem like they're doing a real search.

Was looking at Doc's head coaching career and realized/remembered that the year Bucks went to ECF in 2001 and beat Orlando in 4 in the first round, Orlando was coached by... Doc Rivers. His second year after winning Coach of the Year in his first.

Well, ****. Add McGrady to the list of chokers under Doc Rivers!

I’m alright with Doc. Let’s get that guy his second ring.

My two favorite teams hiring and firing Nathaniel Hackett and Adrian Griffin halfway through their first seasons is **** hilarious. Two guys that really failed upwards and looked like complete clowns as head coaches.

Yeah, it's unclear to me why people have confidence in Atkinson. He got a raw deal in Brooklyn after coaching a flotsam team for years, but while they may have overachieved slightly, it's not like they did anything. Not saying he's a bad option or would be bad, but Doc isn't a bad coach either.

Ultimately we really can only go up. Even if it's Prunty.

Doc makes so much more sense than Atkinson given our situation, at least Doc is a known commodity who has been there. If Atkinson looks bad and you can him then no one will want to coach for the Bucks again

How would it be different if Doc looks bad and we can him?

Everybody knows what Doc is, if it turns out bad and you fire him then everyone understands. If you give Atkinson half a season then can him when it doesn't work out, you look more like you can't be worked with

If we we’re looking for a new “voice” after Bud, someone who has credibility for a true contending, veteran team that already all the talent—Doc or Nurse fits the mold. Not a 15 year assistant turned rookie head coach.

Doc may have blown many leads but his teams always seem to contend and generally look the part and are organized. I believe the Bucks’ talent and core players championship pedigree overcome those past issues and Doc’s presence and experience especially with veteran, HOF talents are what we needed.

I am on board with Doc given the options. It would be great to have Stotts back in the fold as assistant. That would be a great coaching staff.

Jason Kidd is stepping down as head coach of the Mavs & coming back to Milwaukee. You heard it hear first.
