I feel UW would play some regional mid-major team in a closed door scrimmage over the last few years.

My oldest wanted to go to Virginia. I would've been in the same boat.

Fortunately she chose Northwestern. /s

Yea its always been a thing. I didn't see the Nova thing before just now on this thread, but add that to the BYU game and you've added some tough non-conf games. Hope they don't make the mistake of making too difficult of a non-conf schedule and it bites them later. But seems the general vibe is they've done well in the portal so should be solid next year, but who knows

I ripped them for it a few years ago because I thought Gard was kind of on thin ice and the team was not guaranteed to be that strong. That was the Storr year and it ended up fine.

This particular year I think there is a hope they'll be pretty good...so chase some of those big wins/make some money, I guess. But I still reserve the right to retroactively enforce that I didn't like the scheduling.

I saw Vaughn Karvala play ball today, and he is insanely talented. Imagine Adam Morrison that posterizes people and plays above the rim. Three point range, handles, creative.

Any chance he considers the Badgers? Or too close to home?

He's going out of state. Marquette and UW have both backed off. He's crazy talented let's just say neither program is sad they're not going to get him.

Volleyball.

Cannot believe there's a top 25 team that plays in what is effectively a high school gym. How do they get good recruits?

I hate that this team just gave up on the air raid offense after two years, and we are basically back to what we were. I was hoping major changes with this coaching staff, but I guess when you are coaching for your job,...

Badger football is discussed on the Packers board, not here.

Move this to the appropriate board as needed, but I wanted to get in my 2 cents on this post.

I’m completely willing to give Fickell the benefit of the doubt, and I think he was dealt a MUCH worse hand from Chryst in terms of players/schedule and then has had terrible injury luck with QB despite being left with zero scholarship QBs. All that….but….. Phil Longo and his air raid offense was a **** disaster. Firing him was the best move Fick has made. Simultaneously, hiring him was the worst move he made. I don’t want to hear air raid again in Wisconsin.

FWIW, Sam Houston is 0-2 with two charitable 17 point losses thus far. That dude sucked.

Kirk was very instrumental in getting a modern offense established at UW. He’s going to be missed.

Wait and see on Brad, hopefully he’s not teaching the guys how to give nut shots during games.
