Sure its fair to point out the guy isn't elite or some superstar. But umm that's why he was available at 25ish mil per year rather than a max. If we paid him 45 mil as if he's was an elite star, then I'd say bash away. He got exactly a fair contract for a good solid reliable starter and he just happens to fit perfectly with Giannis, if we're still not fully ready to embrace Giannis as 5 as the primary lineup

If we could get Monk for Kuz, I don’t think we would be unhappy. Yes, he was hit or miss as the lead guard post Fox in SAC, but his splits before that trade were pretty good if I remember correctly. Not the best defender, but gives effort. Watched a good amount of Kings games and he’s just as athletic as Kuz, and while his shooting fell off a bit last year, I bet he would see an uptick playing with Giannis.

Edit: he shot 39% from three while playing with LeBron. Similar gravity.

The contract they gave him is quite close to the Room Exception (and actually slightly less). It's $16.6M over 2 years, with the second year a player option (shout out Horst). So likely $8.1M or $8.3M in year one, while the Room Exception is slightly more than $8.7M.

I dont think we have championship team to be clear. But we did decide to fight and not give up. I think that is what make most of us happy. The mere fact that we didnt give up and that we fight.

I can only hope our players take on this identity too. The most annoying thing about the Dame era is that it felt like we lost our identity as a team that is going to scrap for every ball, every win, etc. It started to slip a little that last season with Jrue too so I'm not going to pin it on Dame but I really hope we can get back to being that sort of team.

AJ Green is a fine player. His shooting is streaky, but it evens out in the end. My biggest issue with him is that his defensive awareness is subpar. Man up, he works his ass off. But he constantly got lost on rotations to the point that when he isn't hitting his open shots, he's a liability out there.

SupremeHustle wrote:Dame just never felt like a Buck. On the contrary, it took me two seconds to feel like Jrue was a real one. If Khris had never gotten hurt, I believe he'd still be with us, and Dame would be with his family somewhere. We'd all be happier.
As somebody who wanted him on the team, I was still waiting for him to join it after 2 years.

I'd give up a second round pick if Giannis agreed to public denounce all those who make up stories about what he's thinking.

And I'd give up another second rounder for Horst to get up and state that none of these guys no anything about bball. The problem with this one is he just traded for Kuzma.

I don't watch or follow any of those guys as I really don't care what any say, so really all I see is what is posted here.

It seems at this point, the Bucks could win another title and some idiot within a few days would say something along the lines of "How winning the title actually increases the chances Giannis leaves"

They already wrote that story in 2022

Maybe go after RJ Barrett.

Please don't let us start the season with Kuzma in the team...

Is this a rumor or your own idea?

I saw a Monk for Schroder S&T being reported, can’t remember from who tho unfortunately. It obviously didn’t happen but it’s fair to say there could be some smoke to that. Barrett just seems like fan speculation. Haven’t seen him mentioned anywhere really.

I am definitely concerned that we're trying to reboot the Brook Lopez era instead of taking a chance on some original content.

The offseason is less fun when you’re speculating about moves rather than your team flipping its identity and half the roster in a 20 minute span.

To be fair, we won a title with the Lopez formula. Just need KPJ to not be fools gold + ?

Monk for Kuzma
Wiggins for Kuzma

Either works for me.

Maybe he's our SF of the Future, I like it!

I absolutely believe that Smith's pro future, given he has one, is at the 3, specifically defending on the perimeter. He's got the [developing] skillset to be a Rashard Lewis type of player. If we ask him to keep all the backend rotations straight, read who is and who will be low, etc., I think we're setting him up to fail.

Lewis feels like a great ceiling comp.

He’s got a bag for a dude that tall.

The Monk thing is widely reported but apparently they could not find a trade for him. Maybe we're not interested or could not come to an agreement?
The Barrett thing, was just a name.

In a weird way, this is the most excited I’ve been for a season in a while. Seeing Giannis with the NBA on NBC music playing is gonna be insane. Is it october yet?
