Okay.. Gotcha. I wouldn't be upset about getting Kirk, but I am guessing it's what you heard we would have to give up just to get him.

I'm almost tempted to ask you to email me regarding this because I heard some stuff but you sound as if you heard more.

Have PP or MD P.M. me your e-mail or AIM address.

Okay PP or MD.. you both know the drill, get it done! :D

As you two PM, I'll speculate: Could it be 8 for Hinrich? If so then I'd hope we trade Mo to Portland for 13. Maybe Randolph slips to 13?

Hinrich would fit the mold re: the importance of the PG position that Hammond has stressed.... I guess...

I put the odds at about 5% of Bogut being moved for Mayo or Beasley, simply because I'm not that lucky, but I'll continue to maintain that it makes the most sense of any move in this draft. Both Miami and Minnesota have their stars, they need to surround them with role players. Both teams have gaping holes at center.

The Bucks need a star and could get one at #2 or #3. Worry about the role players later.

Like I said, I don't envision it happening but a guy could hope.

That doesn't seem like the type of deal that would leave many disappointed.

I am starting to feel it is Hinrich for #8 and filler. Although I don't mind Kirk...I just don't like that deal really. I'd hope we would turn and deal Mo/CV for something that excites this town a little bit more than that.

Here's some video of Hammond yesterday. He says as of today it's most like we keep the pick and also alludes to the possibility of a player from the top six slipping and changing the Bucks plans. Worth a look:

The only way I'd do #8 for Hinrich would be if they take on Simmons deal. Simmons/8 for Hinrich.

We'd then be set at PG with Hinrich/Sessions/Bell. Mo/CV/Mason's expiring can be turned into a starting SF and PF/C depth.

There must be a deal for Mo in place if we are going to make a deal for Hinrich.

I would rather try and make it work for Gadz to replace Simmons there. They don't really need Hinrich seeing as they basically have Rose.

I don't see us making any splash signings next year so Simmons' contract doesn't really affect us at this point and it becomes an asset as an expiring for us next year.

I also have some confidence that Simmons may make some improvements this year and return somewhat close to his old form.

I'm fine with Hinrich, though I don't think he's necessarily the PG you want. All I've heard out of Chicago both in the media and online is that he just doesn't have playmaking ability.

As for a deal involving Mo, good luck with that BYC status.

The only way everyone's draft night is a disappointment is if they simply decide to move the team to OK City. There are too many camps here for everyone to be pissed off.

Actually I believe there is a deal or 2 that could piss just about everyone off......and its real, damn real possibility.

Oh, you will be glad to know that you will be able to continue to rip Bogut for many many years to come. :D

Personally, after Hinrich's 2007-08 season, I don't think we should have to give up a ton for him, and if we do, we are the ones getting ripped off. He's easily a better defender than Mo, but he's about equal as a distributor and Mo is a better scorer.

I like Hinrich/Sessions as a pairing, but if it destroys our overall depth and makes us lose the draft pick, no thanks.
