The odds of a disaster are fairly low because of the upcoming cap explosion, but there can still be missed opportunities. Chandler doesn't come with a ton of long-term risks, but the upside is minimal. He's on an inverse trajectory to our core. By the time we're ready to actually compete, he'll be about done.

I'd consider signing Chandler a missed opportunity. Monroe on the other hand, would be exciting. The upside is high(ish), the downside still rather low.

Broussard reporting league chatter is Tyson to Milwaukee.

I think if the Mavs want him in the end and the Bucks are still bidding for him that he can be convinced to leave Dallas. I'm sure that Kidd will have clout over Cuban in his decision, especially since Dallas let him walk in '11 and he's an afterthought following Aldridge/Jordan at this point for them.

Robin Lopez is essentially a better, bigger Larry Sanders. I wouldn't be disappointed, as he knows how to play D, just not my first choice.

2yrs ago he had 139 blocks. That's 100 more than Monroe.

In what way? He's not a waste on offense, but he's not remotely close as a defender IMO.

Sanders only had one good year blocking shots, and he had an insane 200. But, his other seasons were 70-39 blocks per.

Rebounding same. RoLo is a slightly better scorer who makes his FTs.

Did this just complete a previous deal or was he traded a 3rd time?

The Thunder has traded the contract of Luke Ridnour to Toronto along with cash to create a $2.85 million trade exception.

Chandler makes more sense for us if we think Henson is going to be our long term starting center.

It would be great if the Bucks brass is seeing something in him already in the offseason to solidify this possibility. And on paper Chandler seems like the perfect player for him to model his game off of.

But I'm a bit skeptical that we are that high on Henson. And if we pick up Chandler I'd hope we have a young big waiting in the wings to take over however which way.

I was talking about this offseason and the thought process of picking up Chandler or Kofus for little over the mle. That's not happening.

The difference between Sanders 200 block season vs. others was time on the court., foul trouble and personal issues. Time in minutes and games played (establishing a rhythm). With more playing time and/or games played Sanders blocked more shots. He also kept players from going inside when not making that play and effectively brought down the percentage of makes once they did.

So lets say we aren't able to get Monroe to sign here. Plan B. IF the Cavs were to take Mayo+Bayless+Plumlee off of our hands for Haywood's non-guaranteed $10.5mil. We sign DWade and Chandler, sign Middleton, and then sign Kyle O'Quinn and Marshall with our MLE. I'm not the biggest fan but I think the city would be pretty excited about that team. Take a while to figure out rotations and spacing.

I would love Henson to backup Chandler. It's one of the biggest reasons I want to bring on Chandler in the first place.

I'm for signing a 4/5 like KOQ especially if we can do it on the cheap.

We wanted this kind of player at the draft but missed out. Still don't have one true PF on the roster, where Parker / Dudley / Inglis are combo forwards at best -- with the caveat that Giannis is just such a freak that we have to name a position after him and not vice versa.

KOQ or the like would be a backstop if we want to bail on Henson at any point too.

For what it's worth, one of the Brewhoop guys said he's been told we have zero interest in Wade.

Dude, my speed reading read this as "Tobias Harris would prefer to return to Milwaukee" and I was like

Even though he'd be redundant, I still want him back. Forever.

Tyson Chandler, Danny Green, and Middleton give us the defensive minded, deep team the front office has talked about. I think we would be top 3 in the east, and no one would enjoy playing us. Would be very difficult to score on us consistently. Mayo would probably have to be dumped for the cap space.

I'd sign both Green and Middleton.
