He looked pretty quick for a big guy in that clip

Think he goes top 10 after workouts with teams

We can’t draft a guy named “Kyle Guy.” We just can’t.

I haven’t read through the entire thread, but does anybody have thoughts on where Porter will end up going this draft? I see the Ringer Draft Guide has him at 26. I know we don’t have the best luck with guys who have torn their ACL twice, but this still seems like a low risk / high reward pick at the end of the first round.

I'm liking Windor more and more... Besides his offense, he's an excellent rebounder (which translates pretty good to the NBA) and has good length.

Any word in how he's doing in the combine scrimmages?

Windler didn't play.

One guy who jumped out to me though I didn't watch him all year was Claxton from Georgia. That guy is incredibly quick for his length. Narrow though. Could be a good long term prospect.

Sekou just put up 34/9 with 5/7 from 3.

I wouldn't be shocked if Sekou ended up being the best player out of this class.
He gets terribly misused in France and there isn't much film but he screams sleeper. At least 6'9, 240, physically fully mature despite being youngest in his class, terrific motor when locked in (which has been a problem in the past and something to look at), starting to shoot at a high clip. He's shown decent vision and some playmaking upside but his handles don't really allow to use him as a ball handler in half court situations yet.
You'd expect him to be a good defender based on his physical tools but he's not yet. Gets some highlight blocks based on size and athletic ability but has problems keeping up with smaller players and doesn't dominate physically weaker players like he should.
It's going to be interesting once he comes over for workouts. Lots of question marks, but if everything grades out well he's one of the most remarkable prospects in this years draft.

By the way I think Taco goes way earlier than expected and I think it's stupid even as a Taco fan. He's a gimmick that will need major work to be at best a 10 minutes per series playoff secret weapon. And that is his best outcome.

At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Just waiting on them Cleo tiers before I really start taking any of this draft talk seriously. Surprised y'all are so over-zealous when we have THE list to vet our opinions. Carry on.

If we're taking a chance on a guy with an ACL history, I'd feel 100x better about Okeke than I would Porter.

My problem with Porter isn't really the ACL, it's the median outcome that bothers me. He's a big that can stretch the floor and make reads (which we can see is very valueable these days and even more in the POs) but he's also a big that doesn't really protect the rim (which is mostly impactful in RS) and can't really switch (which is very valueable in the post season). Unless one of these two things drasticly changes or he developes really well offensively his upside is somewhat limited.
The ACL doesn't help though.

I like gimmicks, Tacko would be awesome to at least have on the summer league team. :P

Shaping up to be a ton of big man value at 30, as it stands.

Best case / steal of the draft level: Kabengele
Rebounder / rim runner / good value: Fernando / Gafford
High upside / skilled w/ length: Bassey
