He was in the deal to the Magic, apparently is getting bought out.

Whoa. That's something.

He's number one for me now. He looked as quick as ever last night.

Why in the world would they trade Theis for Wagner?

The Magic are buying Teague out?? I don't recall very many teams buying out vet min contracts for healthy veterans who aren't causing any headaches.

ETA:  Posted at the same time. Nice! I predict almost every contender will want him and the Bucks will get him and 25% of this board will still play the victim complex about nobody wanting to play in Milwaukee.

Teague screams like such a similar add to what Hill was a couple years ago. perfect fit and hopefully works out as well

I have an idea about why but it's just a thesis about Theis's trade.

I know this seems like a small thing, but oh my god I think he could really help. You have to guard him and he can get to the rim. He knows Bud's system as well.

We need to make this happen.

Technically he isn't getting bought out. He's just straight up getting waived.

That's all true, but I think he remains significantly more valuable than Schroder for example.

yep... this is what im getting at. and thats not even to mention it needs to be a clear upgrade to take a shot at somebody else in that lockerroom. we know what we have in lopez and thats a really nice chess piece that helps the lockerroom and if he goes out for a different really nice chess piece i just dont see the point especially if it isnt a big. tucker and/or portis does NOT make lopez expendable imo

Well, that is why I come back to my point about his salary slot. If for discussion, someone wants to talk about what it would take to get a player making 16M, he basically needs to be part of the deal.

I'm not saying I would do that deal, more having a discussion that he needs to be the piece moved to do it, and that might mean Giannis being the 5 to compensate.

i think the quality of the piece we get back next year when hes an expiring would be exponentially higher. thats is when we move him, if we move him.

right now i think he has more value to us than any other team in the league. maybe next year when hes fallen off even more and could even be a buyout candidate for somebody.... thats when we could move that valuable salary slot. in many ways it may be the last huge chance we have to improve the roster. that salary slot should be heavily guarded and we should wait for the right piece. in fact id say even hopefully....a GREAT piece coming back.

finally.... its also very likely that slot will be reserved for ddv. ddv is gonna get PAID

Oh. That's kind of bad though? Someone will probably claim him for his full salary before he clears waivers, and the Bucks can't fit his full salary under the tax threshold so they're liable to pass.

Horst can save himself by getting Teague...he is a must add at this point. I'll take Olynyk too if possible.

You may even start Teague and push DDV to the bench.

Teague
Jrue
Middleton
Giannis
Brook

Bench:
DDV
Forbes/Pat
Pat/PJ
Portis/PJ
Olynyk

That's a nice lineup to me. Adding some defense and shooting to the lineup would be nice.

Think Miami could get the best out of their moves today and hurt us at some point. Lowry and Norm not going to an east contender is such a huge win for us.

Owners have always said they are willing to pay the tax...so let's see it.
