Just turn Pat into an athletic forward IMO. I don’t know if that counts for athletic “big”. With all their flaws Brook and Bobby are still useful and probably more valuable to Milwaukee than any other team which makes it hard to trade them.

Midds (28)/XXX (20)
Giannis (36)/XXX (8)/Bobby (4)
Brook (28)/Bobby (20)

Bucks’ least athletic position is SF with Midds and Prince. There is your hole. I respect Prince for his effort, but he is the “big” to replace for some needed athleticism. DFS would be ideal, but the 2nd apron just makes it too hard.

I’m still looking at a Pat + Marjon + 2031 FRP for Kuminga trade. It obviously has to be a bigger trade where Warriors land a bigger fish. Kuminga fills that hole and Bucks get a min contract close to avoid the 2nd apron penalties. Find a team for Wright, convert Rollins and you will be good to go.

Sucks that AJ Johnson isn't even remotely close to being a playable rotation guy, because with Delon being pretty useless, the lack of a solid backup PG has become very evident in these recent games where Dame is forced to play so many minutes. Wonder if Charlotte would go for something like Pat, Marjon, and a 2031 2nd for Micic.

Dame playing minutes is probably more about scoring than ball handling. Theoretically, Khris playing alleviates both

Dennis Smith picked up by the Herd. Wonder if he's got an inside track to the main roster?

He'd have comp from Terence Davis, who's already looking good, & has some advantages over him like shooting.

But they're assembling multiple interesting guys who could help plug holes on the big club. Also, in the minors they take the ball out of Johnson's hands in the fullcourt, which is a good thing. High pressure breaks his rhythm. Needs to set up in the halfcourt.

I’m guessing that he gets called up if we find a trade for Delon or MarJon.

Had a good season in Brooklyn last year.

I’m not a Delon fan so I would take a look at Smith Jr. and see what he has in the tank.

Yeah, he didn't look too bad in his stint last year with Brooklyn. If we could get that at the end of our bench, I wouldn't complain.

Bobby for Micic and Nick Richards works

There's literally a role on the roster for just being able to break pressure & make ft's late in games. DSJr shot 74% the last 2 yrs, which is adequate, but far from ideal, & he could backslide. You'd think his experience helps, but he's never been in the playoffs.

Comparatively, T. Davis has been in the playoffs twice & his scoring efficiency held. He's shot 83% from the line in his career. IDK if he can bring it up against pressure, & the rep is more of a defender in theory than reality. So it's a good competition.

I truly don't understand why he's not in the league.

Micic, on the other hand, looks like he's clearly below the league's athletic threshold for perimeter players. Heavy and sloppy. Heady passer but can't beat anybody and can't even maintain separation off a screen. To my eyes he's playing out this season and heading back overseas after the Hornets decline his option.

Cut MarJon and get DSJ a spot with the real squad.

I think you could put DSJ on Jaylen Brown and Brown would have a very bad time.

Nobody wants guards that can't shoot the 3. I liked him a few years ago, but then his shooting got worse instead of better.

I'm guessing the biggest reason the Herd added DSJ is because their roster is god awful. However, it would be cool if DSJ copied Kris Dunn and used a G League stint to learn to become a tollerable shooter.

Per Jake Fischer:

Milwaukee has made calls to explore ways to add more of a lob threat to complement Brook Lopez, according to league sources, while the Bucks' incumbent center has generated no shortage of trade interest since last summer.

This is promising diagnostically even if they can't make it happen.

Robert Williams if he could stay healthy would be phenomenal here.

He’s a good rim runner and an absurd athlete while being an underrated passer offensively, and defensively he has much better feet than either of our bigs outside Giannis, but still has the ability to absolutely shut down the rim.

He’s a top 10 defensive talent in the league.

He’s just incredibly injury prone.
