Tony Kornheiser said on his show that Dekker could be Larry Bird. Wonder if he'll say that on PTI cause that's a hell of a statement.

Having two of the top 5 players ever going right now is potent. What do you think?

I may be recency biased, but I think I take Leuer (or start Tucker) over Jones. I'd probably also go with Trent Jackson over Dekker and slide Finley to the 3 spot.

Danny Jones was awesome but I do think Leuer lands second and Vershaw as third.

Trent wasn't the player Dekker is and certainly not Mike Finley.

I'm starting Griffith over Jones, Lewer or Vershaw.

Wilbon chided Kornheiser for not knowing anything about Dekker before last night. Kornheiser said he was extremely impressed and said that Dekker can be an excellent pro. I didn't hear him say anything about Dekker being the next Larry Bird though.

Why do people listen to Kornheiser? He doesn't give a **** or know anything about sports going on outside of DC or New York.

What are the odds that Dekker returns to Madison? 1 in 5, 1 in 10?

Getting lower with every good game he plays in the tournament.

If he has good games like last night the rest of the way, even if Wisconsin loses against Arizona, he'll probably leave. Especially if Wisconsin beats Arizona, and he has a good game against Kentucky.
But even if he plays mediocre or poorly, I think the N.C. game convinced enough pro scouts to take him first round...maybe even lottery.
But certainly if he has real good/excellent games here on out, he'll go. And if he has those kinds of games, he has a good chance to go lottery.
I'm betting he goes whatever happens from now on. Unless real close NBA contacts tell him to wait another year. Which I doubt will happen.

There's a difference between listing the best players and trying to come up with an all-time team that would actually play well together. Assuming it's the former, I'd put Alando ahead of Dekker, even though Dekker might be a better fit if it was an actual lineup.

Harris
Kelley
Webster

Finley
Jordan Taylor
Mason

Tucker
Penney
Hayes

Jones
Dekker
Leuer

Kaminsky
Griffith
Wilkinson

That's just in my lifetime of course. It's interesting that Stiemsma has had arguably the 3rd-best NBA career of any Badger I can remember. Also... whither Sam Okey?

Stone tweeted he's announcing at 7:30. Gary Ellerson actually was right (on the date).

Would be funny if he was just trolling and announced at 7:30 that he was going to make a decision on a different date.
