I saw Rush as a warm up band. Peart was a virtuoso. Saw them for the last time at Summerfest 2013.
RIP :(
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm not even gonna say "arguably"...he was the best rock drummer ever. RIP

Dude, was at the height of his career and went to NY to study drumming with Freddie Gruber so he could be better. Basically re-taught himself how to play...when he was already #1. And an amazing lyricist too.

Also, YYZ was about an airport? Things you learn while jamming out to the memory of rock Gods.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

I randomly heard this song again about a week ago, which I hadn't heard in years, and now I've been listening to it constantly. One of my favorite 90s songs. Wish they had lived up to this standard as a band; the rest of their catalog sucks (IMO).

My favorite recent tracks - mostly new.

Love Tennis. Their sound is so original for the period we're in, the writing is incredible and I love how often they're tongue-in-cheek (this song, Ladies Don't Play Guitar).

This was released at the end of 2018 and was apparently a thing at the beginning of 2019, but I missed it and didn't discover it until year-end lists came out.

Discovered them toward the end of 2019 when I stumbled upon a 5-year old song of theirs in a recommended playlist for me. Found they had just recently released an album.

I also came across them last year through a recommended playlist for me on spotify, I really dig their stuff. :)

I often track down the music you guys like but I'm blown away you guys are bringing them up now. Pretty sure I saw them open for The Naked and Famous or something almost 10 years ago. Still like Trust.

Tennis is great.

This is the group I can't stop listening to right now. Strokes drummer Fab Moretti's new project:

I loved the hell out of Damone 15 years ago. Randomly looked them up tonight and found out they had a song in 2019. It's very good.

Their first two albums were great. Their 3rd was bad. But if you haven't listen, the 2nd is fantastic.

Vulture's 100 best emo song's of all-time.

Gotta say I'm impressed. They give some spots to what I'd consider fake-ass emo pop bullsh*t, but the majority is early aughts and 90s stuff. Happy to see Mineral get a solid ranking, and Jawbreaker at #2 is great.

She's kinda perfect for a Bond song, yeah it was good.

My thing with Eilish all along is that she's really good at the whisper mood genre, of which I'm not sure anyone else has ever done, but I wonder about the staying power of that. But near the end of that song I think is the first time I've ever heard her actually sing (important aspect of making music imo) and it was not bad.
