Re: Bucks Trade Ideas Thread 2018
We need to add talent though Kidd doesn't have a clue on how to utilise it. Example Khris is the Ball handler and Bledsoe used as a spot up 3pt shooter, while we should be doing the opposite.
Having said that I would try to get Kemba without giving up Bledsoe and Khris... Brogdon, Snell, Wilson would be the pieces and maybe a 3rd team should help to get a pick and send it to Charlotte.

If we dealt Bledsoe, we'd go back to the absolute crap guard defense. That said for the right deal and with a new coach I'd listen. Would be like acquiring Brandon and flipping him for Cassell 18 months later.
Bledsoe, Snell, Telly for Kemba and Dwight works for me.
Kemba isnt a good guard defender either. IF we can deal Bledsoe and get Zeller and MKG out of it our team defense would be outstanding. A Brogdon/Brown/MKG/Giannis/Zeller defensive could be amazing. IF we can also squeeze Monk out of them to help with spacing (in addition to retaining Middleton of course) we could have some dynamic offensive lineups as well. Perfect storm would be dumping Henson on them in the process (UNC and all). I can't see them actually trading Kemba unless Philly gives them Fultz AND expirings for all their long term deals.

I don't think anyone is going to be able to take Charlotte's bad money - was told that the only way Kemba is moved. More likely they try and move him around the draft if he won't commit to an extension.

I think I would like to try a different defensive scheme consistently before trading for offensively inept guys like MKG.

I think Bledsoe is getting too much grief and see the "can't shoot" thrown out a bit too much as if he's an MCW Rondo type shooter and that's just not the case. You also have to factor in that he's a PnR guy being used as an iso guy and spot up shooter. He looks very comfortable on the midrange pullup off a screen, but he rarely gets to run a high ball screen. Also, go compare it to Kemba and their shooting is very similar but how much worse would Kemba look if he wasn't running ball screens?
Bledsoe is the least of our problems. His athleticism on D is also a noticeable plus that none of the other guys on the team can do. We just need to run a real offense with high ball screens for him, you know, like the other 29 coaches in the league would do.

At this point it's pretty dangerous to assume our defense will get better regardless of who is added.

not comparing them necessarily but for reference MKG is shooting 35.5% on jumpers, Bledsoe 35.9%, and Giannis 36.1%

Agreed. Frank and Eric were talking about expectations for Bledsoe. I think he's met them. You weren't getting an all star for Monroe's expiring and a lotto protected 1st.
The other thing to look at are Bledsoe's assists by month. They've gone down, down, down since November. That tells me Kidd is just letting these guys do what they want out there.
Kidd has to go now. We just need to see these guys under and different coach, even Prunty for these last 30 games.

Probably will get shot for saying this, but I think the ball should be in Bledsoe's hands more offensively. He is not being allowed to make an impact as much as he can as a facilitator. Some of that has to do with coaching, some of that probably has to do with the ball being in Giannis' hands more. I honestly feel like Bledsoe is a better playmaker than Giannis.
As much as I love Giannis, I still think this team goes into "watch" mode when he's on the floor and has the ball. There is much better ball movement, from what I've noticed, when he's off the floor because guys aren't standing around watching him ISO.

One of those 3 guys likely only shoots when completely wide open and does not shoot 3s.

I don't necessarily dislike MKG, I just don't think he's the type of guy we need to go trading for.

Re: Bucks Trade Ideas Thread 2018
I have absolutely no problem with Bledsoe or how he's played. We got an average NBA starter for 2 years for a [good] part time player and a protected first. Value wise there's nothing wrong with that. If we don't balance the roster at or immediately after the trade deadline, though, that's no good. Even if it's just cutting Vaughn or JET for the best available big after the trade deadline.

Re: Bucks Trade Ideas Thread 2018
Sorry, I can't advocate for trading for a guy who still actually shoots like this:

He's literally incapable of spacing the floor and they've all but given up on teaching him how to shoot 3's (11 attempts in 3,300+ minutes over the last 2 seasons).

It's all about adding good TEAM defenders like Dudley and Zaza

and thats fine i guess if he were the primary guy in my proposal lol, I was advocating dumping Henson in the deal and collectively coming out of it with a more useful player in MKG. The Hornets are trying to dump cash and nobody is taking their albatross deals so I am targeting saving money on their midlevel deals by offering them players that are a better team fit in exchange for guys that are collectively better than what we have.

The Pelicans would have to be pretty desperate for SF help to do this. But they also could be motivated to drop cap if they are about to max Cousins.
Does Asik have much left in the tank?
Terrible contract...but it wouldn’t take much for him to earn a rotation spot at the moment for what that’s worth.

I'd do this deal if I'm MKE. Asik is basically done but his contract is one year less than Snell I think and he'd be in our rotation as the backup big. Getting the #1 puts it over for me. I have no beef with Snell but I don't think you lose much just playing Brown in his spot. Snell is a great 3 pt shooter but we don't play to his strength anyway, Brown is likely better at everything else.
