The lackadaisical attitude went beyond lack of mobility in my opinion. He just never displayed emotion. He didn't need to run around to show he was upset with a call. Prunty showed so much more emotion tonight, the players had to see that.

It was probably Palermo's. Giacomo likely spelled out You are fired in sausage and pepperoni.

Where's the pizza thing from?

I remember being in a locker room full of crying guys in HS after our varsity coach told us that he was going to take a job somewhere else. All crocodile tears. Giannis will get over it. It's part of being a part of a team, you bond even if you don't really like someone. IN our situation, we played well under that coach, but not as good as our talent could have. The replacement was actually a bit worse at strategy and X's and O's but we liked him better. Probably no net difference, neither of them got the most out of us. Our JV coach would have taken us to a state championship, I'm certain. Hopefully Prunty is that guy waiting in the wings.

I get the sense that Prunty is cut from the same piece of fabric as the good coaches.

Anyone catch the player (Terry?) interview where they said "energy and effort"? Was that a tongue-in-cheek thing or more like standing up for Kidd?

Horst was there's working his 2nd job, so it was quite convenient.

Probably a terrible example, but still.

I woke up this morning at 5:45am, blurry eyed and checked my phone and checked RealGM and saw another firekidd thread, this time stickied.

I was like, wtf is going on mods!? How many more fire Kidd threads do we need? How many. Other threads do we need where we will bitch about Kidd we already have the fire Kidd the worst coach and all the PG threads. Did the 3rd firekidd thread hit 100 already? But it was just made a couple weeks ago.

Nevertheless I opened it and to my astonishment there was much happiness, and rejoicing. I was like wtf is happening! Then as the fog of sleep began to depart I realized, this isn't another firekidd thread, this is a KiddFIRED thread!

I was so escastic! I felt so freeeeeeeeeeee!

The Warriors won the championship the very next season after Jackson was fired and now Golden State is the place everybody wants to play. That's why it's so important for the Bucks to hire the right guy. Giannis' reaction shouldn't be ignored. We shouldn't panic but it's crucial that we hire a coach who will bring a championship to Milwaukee.

Epi's been kind of vindicated by Stotts having some success elsewhere.

Not sure that's in Kidd's future. He's also apparently crazy (re: this media stuff).

True. But right and wrong, good and bad are sometimes transcended in importance. Sometimes it's the journey that counts.

I just came back to and 1 Voodoo's reaction. Wasn't disappointed. Still incredibly stoked that they actually went through with firing him.

Nah. Too many challenges. It's completely understandable to give Prunty the reins. Just my opinion, but doing a full-on switch has too many complications. A HC needs his own assistants. In-season is just patently not an ideal time for such a thing. Getting Kidd out the door is the most important thing. The Bucks will have a line of HC candidates wanting to coach w/ a Giannis in their midst.

Agreed and that’s why I think the Packers waited with Capers. I don’t think it would have been the worst to see Kidd sink or swim with this team. He usually has a second half surge. But I suppose a miraculous first round victory would have been a disaster long term speaking. But a complete miss would have also prompted a much bigger change in the off-season than the possibility of Prunty.

As most know, Horst doesn't have the clout or power of other GMs.

With that said, I still give him major credit for this move. He made the recommendation to the owners to get rid of Kidd. That had to take balls. Knowing Lasry's relationship with Kidd. And knowing Hammond got shut down last year when he wanted to fire Kidd.

Thankfully the owners finally woke up and realized it was time.
