Still think DDV for Trent makes sense for both parties.
Maybe DJ for Monk, that'd be nice if both parties think they need a change of scenery. Probably unlikely from CHA POV.

Just noting that Brook, Pat and Khris were at the “Giannis meal”. They ain’t going anywhere this season at least.
Carry on.

I’d love to get Trent here, and I’d be happy with that deal. I’d be looking to get a 2 that can shoot and then either play defense or play make for others if not both. I think Trent gives you shooting and D. I’d also be interested in a DDV for huerter swap as I think it benefits both teams. I think heurter would give you shooting and playmaking.
But I would expect both Portland and Atlanta would rather hang onto the guys they have, since they know they have good players there, and making any change does present risk.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
So Brooklyn is paying Kryie, KD, Lavert, Harris, T. Prince, and D. Jordan just over $135m next season. How in god's name do they justify keeping Jarrett Allen (last year of rookie deal) and Dinwiddie (opt out) next year? Would they have any interest in locking themselves into a more reasonable salary for a Brook or DDV?

The four contracts we can trade belong to the four guys we can't trade. Such is life as a RealGM.

Hard to make the money work. Rather keep Brook then take on Allen. Could swap Brook for Dinwiddie, but not sure if BKN bites and not sure if it makes sense for us, unless Giannis is committed to the 5.

Allen and Dinwiddie for DDV and Brook works, but would they both be one year rentals?
Gary Trent Jr has turned down Portland's extension offer and is betting on himself as a RF, what will he end up costing next year?

Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

If Trent has a good season, $14M starting and could see BOG $$ up to $18M. He can basically be our BOG is what I'm thinking or else you take him and he helps make a title push. POR gets 1 more yr of control with DDV to decide what they want to do. Nurk is do for a bump so Nurk, Dame, CJ will be very expensive already. They could move CJ and keep Trent.

Love Jarrett Allen but like all bigs that aren't floor-spacers, I don't know how you play him with Giannis and maximize what he's good at (rim-running, rim-protection, rebounding). Continue to be confused by the Dinwiddie love. He's a borderline awful 3PT shooter whose efficiency is propped up by the fact that he gets to the line a ton (he's not having that luxury as the 4th-5th option on this team), and he's nothing but an average defender at best. I think he fits terribly with this roster.

I could see a 3rd team building for the future wanting to acquire Allen's or Dinwiddie's Bird Rights + DDV or something though.

Not ideal but Brook hasn't done a great job spacing the floor for a long time either and just imagine how much more flexibility they'd have on defense with Allen. He's just a better player by a wide margin right now IMO. I think the lack of spacing on offense is probably worth the price, but I'm extremely low on Slowpez right now.

I don't love him but he's a heck of a play-maker on the bench. So is DJA, but the defense is so bad with him that I'm not even sure it's worth it. Dinwiddie might be a better 3rd team candidate though.

This POR fans likes that swap.
GTJr is an excellent shooter and puts in solid effort on the other end. I would like to keep him as CJs replacement if CJ were to be dealt but that is probably not happening under NO.
Have always liked DDVs game just don’t know if a swap is realistic at this time.

He's about as bad a fit with our starters as there is, so no.

Funny, I was looking at this as well. This will probably get a lot of hate, but this is possible.
DDR + White
for
Midds + DDV
Move Jrue to the 2 and Demar at 3. White slots in at PG. I think highly of White, like he's going to be a star. Re-signn DDR to a reasonable contract or let him walk and Re-sign White instead. Either way gives us flexibility getting out of Midds contract. We lose shooting, but idk...

I'd take DDR as a buyout guy if San Antonio went down that road...mostly just to horrify Raptors fans.

middleton+lopez+djwilson
for
DeRozan+Aldridge
works in trade machine. derozan and aldridge are in last year of contract. then we can sign Oladipo and Tucker (for example) or someone else. would have more options.
