Can't love this enough. Illustrates much of what I love about Giannis. The humility is so genuine -- he doesn't recognize on any level that he's better than AI ever was. The "I don't want to bother you" laid me flat.

In 2022 Giannis has played 23 games.

His free throw percentage in:

January 77.5% (13 games)
February 76.8% (9 games)
March 81.8% (1 game)

This is an amazing trend. He's already exceeded my expectations. I was hoping he would hit 73%-75% this year.

He's already at 73% right now and it's low due to Nov he dipped to 65.5%. oct 71% and Dec 72% so I was hoping he would continue to slightly trend upward to 73 and with good graces peak at 75%.

To see him averaging 77% over last 2 months is amazing! Not only is he averaging that, but he is hitting the critical ones. If he continues to improve, he's going to have to start teaching Jrue and a couple of the other guards how to hit their free throws.

Giannis has been stuck at 3rd place for MVP vote for quite a while.

I think he's an underdog at this point and Embiid is the favorite even thought Joker and Embiid trade places. With Harden and Embiid combo it could also be some entertaining narrative about see how he does with some talent around him or something. (also voter fatigue of Joker won it last year and Giannis needs to outdo everyone to earn a 3rd). I think Embiid is a big talent and on the cusp of an MVP season for a while so media could be ready to finally award him.


I think Giannis has to lead the bucks over the next 20 games to 1st or 2nd place, and have some crazy good games against big opponents on prime time. Some 40+ point games, a couple triple doubles. Some really flashy wins. He'll have to be the biggest name in the NBA or at least the eastern conference to get people talking about him being an MVP again.

Derozan is 4th, Curry is 5th, Booker is 6th and Ja is 7th. I think Ja should be in the top 5.

I'd say Ja, Giannis, Curry are the most exciting players in the NBA right now.

The gap is closing for the scoring title. If Giannis catches up there and we finish ahead of Philly it should be lights... but they will probably give it to Embiid due to some immeasurable storyline nonsense

I don’t think we’ll actually pass Philly but it’ll be pretty hilarious if we do finish ahead of them, Giannis is ahead of Embiid in most categories, and he still finishes 3rd behind Embiid and Jokic.
