This firing was overdue despite the optics. Hiring a rookie HC for this team with an aging core and championship or bust aspirations never made sense to me. The whole Stotts ordeal proved this was a disaster from Day 1. At least Horst was smart enough to acknowledge the mistake sooner than later.
