It was incredibly easy and boring, even as someone who isn't anyone's definition of a good MH vet. If you're going to have a bunch of easy story missions it would have been nice to have some kind of variety and perhaps some that force you to learn their various mechanics like traps and slinger ammo. My entire 15 or so trek was spent doing virtually the same thing every time: hit spots, do attack on glowing area, repeat.

lol and the very first mission post-credits does this.

I think you probably have some built-in bossing skills from your Soulsborne exploits :D

I'm just through Black Flame still. I thought that was a pretty tough fight though all things considered. Agree that it didn't require any ingenuity outside of bonk the thing, but its speed + the environment meant I had to go through my stack of megas at least.

But geez, I'm like 20 hours in I think from the weekend and that's as far as I am. I'm a slow gamer.

Having a blast with MHR now that I'm doing some high rank hunts.

LOL I'm dumb I mean Wilds. Actually never played Rise. Last MH I played was World and the Iceborne expansion.

Credits at 32:07. And thank god. I was about ready to make that kid my next hunt.

I farmed quite a bit. I know I didn't need to, but damn it I want to look cool. Carted twice:
Spoiler:
Zin Dahaad nova attack, Zoh Shia I just got greedy as the fight was ending

May put it down for a few days for a break, but idk. Also want to start farming HR gear.

Finished the HR tonight. Honestly could have finished it a few days ago but I also wanted to look cool.

Overall I liked it. Very easy, but some fights were really intense by the end. I don't like fighting flying Wyverns but a battle against a Tempered Rathalos or Rathian absolutely rips.

Hated all the farming I had to do for **** traps and tranq bombs. Felt like that was 50% of my play through right there.

Stuck with dual blades for 100% of the time and I think it would be hard to go to any other play style, but I'll probably try.

I might go back to KCD2, or start Avowed, or I might just keep going and get the sweetest build I can. Probably the latter. I haven't dabbled in Artian gear at all.

KCD2 is so tedious, not sure I can do it.

I've been using level 8 paralysis dual blades, but I just crafted these beauties:

Level 8 Hungerklauen
Attack: 280
Element: Dragon 150
Stupid amounts of sharpness

Skills
Dragon Attack lvl 3: Dragon Attack +40 Bonus +60
Critical Element lvl 3: Greatly increase elemental damage when active
Focus lvl 2: Increase gauge fill rate by 10%
Critical boost lvl 1: Increase critical damage hits 28%

:o

I am struggling with combat in KCD2. Watched videos, got master strike, but whenever its a 1v4 I get smoked. I think I need to spend a long time making some money to upgrade armor and weapons or something. No difficulty adjustment hurts.

Played Fragpunk for a game. Seems fun, but nothing special. Could give me a solid 10-20 hours of relatively enjoyable game time. Always great when it's free.

Also, someone talk me out of buying the Samsung Ark 55" 2nd Gen...I wanted the first but the no multiple inputs supported was a deal breaker, now that's not an issue.

55"...like...at your desk? How can you sit that close? I think my eyeballs would fall out of my head.

That's my pitch.

Valid. I read some reviews that recommend 2-3' away. I just measured and I'm 32" away. However, I like my 3 monitor set up as I almost always am doing 2-3 things at once. And getting a 55" just to have each monitor be 1/4th of that size isn't as enticing.

I'm trying to imagine my office TV on my office desk. Even 2-3' away I can't imagine not having constant eye strain. But I am super sensitive to that. I'm still rocking two 32" 2k monitors from 7 years ago (they are indeed awesome), so I'm the perfect person to pour water on your excitement over a shiny new monitor toy :D

Separately...I think I might actually enjoy the new AC Shadows? I hear all the bad stuff for sure, but the good stuff sounds really good for the types of things I enjoy (stealth, progression, pretty feudal Japan). I haven't played an Ubisoft game in about a decade, so I might pick this one up when it goes on UbiSale and give it a whirl.

Yea, it seems pretty solid. I'm really interested in checking it out from a visual standpoint. The seasons and attention to weather sounds awesome.

Not really that interested in playing the brute character because that sounds boring as ****, but the steal character looks cool.

I'm sure I'll play it at some point but the backlog right now is just stupid.

Does anyone have any recent experience of gaming on a MacBook? My kid is due for a new one, would like to be able to use it for some gaming (will still have a desktop and a console) but I appreciate Macs are a bit limited in this regard. Is it as simple as buying the highest spec we can justify and then running parallels if there’s not a lot available natively?

They’re generally into older games (remakes on Steam, like Final Fantasy etc.) that aren’t super taxing.

It seems like anything on or above an M2 with 16 GB of RAM is able to pretty flawlessly run games on Parallels and Crossover. This list is pretty invaluable.
