This has got to be a little troubling for Silver?

I feel a little old man yelling at clouds, but these Playoffs might've peaked with the Bucks v Celts. It's all been a snooze-fest since then.

Injuries have always been an issue, but in the East has there ever been an issue where you have a guys missing a game here, a game there like we've seen with the celtics and heat? I can see why the celtics players get hurt for a game a time, they flop and get trucked because they try to flop... its making the NBA unwatchable and the ECF has shown with all these crappy games.

The KAT and Booker super-max contracts are gonna be gross. Good luck building a contender around those boat-anchors.

The NBA media types may look back at Boston-Milwaukee as the title round. Then again, Boston has to make it, and resoundingly win in the Finals.

But yes, these games where I tune in 8 minutes in, and see a 32-11 score have been frustrating.

The modest Minnesota playoff success (like making them) will doom the franchise, as they scramble to hand out contracts right and left to keep the team intact. Going to be a bit like the 2010 Bucks. KAT is a wonderful player, but he's on Middleton's level for impact winning games IMO.

I think they mostly understand that it all hinges on Edwards’ development. Seems like they’re probably wisely looking to move off Russell’s contract. Idk, I think they’re kinda in a good place right now. Obviously a very pivotal moment for them right now in how they build the team.

Yeah of course you'd rather not pay KAT an insane number but let's be real like 5-8 guys total are actually 'worth' a super max. I get the idea of not 'overpaying' guys but if your rule is only to pay a max to that class of 5-8 you might go litteral decades without having one. It's like the notion that any team who isn't contending should tank. I understand the logic but the reality is this is an entertainment product and at some point you need to try and win and entertain your fans.

Yeah, as Bucks fans we're incredibly lucky that we have a guy who's actually "underpaid" on the super-max. Not every franchise has that luxury. Minnesota's silver lining is that Edwards is probably gonna be a legit franchise guy, so that makes the inevitable Towns contract easier to stomach. But I'm not sure what Phoenix does once Paul's finally cooked. Building around a super-maxed Devin Booker and a couple good-but-not great guys in Bridges and Cam Johnson? Ayton looks like he's already got one foot out the door, and with Sarver being a known cheapskate, that fanbase has to be in Defcon-5 right now just 10 months after looking like they were gonna be legit championship contenders for the next half decade.

Yeah I’m really curious to see what goes down with Phoenix these next couple offseasons. Sounds like they might be able to get good value for Austin at least; not sure of the source but I saw some report that Indiana for example is willing to trade the #6 pick for Ayton. If they ultimately get something like that while losing him, that’s obviously a good result compared to just losing him for nothing.

I’m definitely skeptical that they’ll be a contender once CP3 fades but you never know.

Can someone post a 7-team trade confusing and complex enough that I can force myself to believing it could happen so we end up with:

Dame/Carter
Wes/Snell/Worst Holiday Brother
Midds/TA
KD/Ersan
Giannis/Mamu/RoLo

Thanks in advance!

KAT is great and worth more than the super max in real terms. If you look at it as a scale where Giannis is the best player and therefore everybody else should get less, most players including all other supermax guys are overpaid. But KAT at the supermax is still going to be a lot more valuable than 9-10 Pat Connaughtons, God bless him.
