We have the greatest three man statistical lineup in the league. Not concerned at all.

I think Boston remains the team to beat if they're healthy, but that's obviously a very strong roster with or without OG.

Bucks won't be able to compete on the wings. Better to go big and beat the Celtics and Knicks up with size.

Keep Portis and Brook, trade Middleton for Jarrett Allen and Dean Wade.
Giannis, Portis, Wade, Allen, Brook starting lineup and we can bring Lillard off the bench or start him in certain matchups.

That's a star package for a non-star. Knicks will be a tough out, though.

“RJ, Quick, Grimes and 6 picks for Bridges”….and Precious (for accuracy).
This league never fails sometimes. Romanticizing that nova team and likely sacrificing the future of your franchise to do so, oof. This is so much better than pairing Marbury and Francis.

machu46 wrote:So if I'm following correctly, the trade as currently constructed hard caps the Knicks which makes it essentially impossible to re-sign OG and Hartenstein. They have easy paths to adjusting the trade to avoid that though. So let's assume they get that done and have the flexibility to bring them back. You now have Brunson, Bridges, Randle, and Hartenstein locked into starting spots. I have to assume OG only returns if he's starting (and even then, it's kind of weird because he wanted the trade in order to take on a larger offensive role and would now be relegated to #4 at best in the pecking order). And then you have Hart, Donte, McBridge, and Robinson off the bench who all deserve a good amount of minutes. I know all those Villanova guys are friends but that's a crowded roster lol. Feels to me like another significant move is coming.
If they resign OG, I would think they trade Randle. Do they start Hart and bring Donte off the bench?

Re: Around the League - Bridges to the Knicks for five #1’s
There's a lot of excitement around the NBA in the lead up to the NBA draft. NBA teams trade NBA assets, including NBA players, and both NBA media and NBA fans discuss the relative merits of the trades and speculate about other possible trades between NBA teams for NBA assets that could occur. All this before the NBA commissioner has called the name of future NBA asset, the first pick in the NBA draft.
It's an exciting NBA time.

Nova players getting back together has gotten the best out of all of them, but I don't like their match-up ability as much w/out Anunoby. Randle's going to hurt them on defense against likes of Siakam, maybe impair the ball movement of Nova guys.

If they want to really go all-in on the wings, they could try to flip Randle and filler for Paul George as some have speculated lol.

They already have to send one wing to the bench most match-ups. Might as well make it two.

It’s a massive overpay but the Knicks have nothing to lose, really. Why not swing for the fences. They got much better and I’m not really even that high on Bridges.

Sidenote: I wonder how close this draft capital
pkg was to the one they tried to make the Bulls for Caruso?

Re: Around the League - Bridges to the Knicks for five #1’s
We have ourselves a CBA off! Bobby Marks saying New York can throw in Diakite and Jeffries to hardcap themselves at the 2nd tax apron instead of the 1st. Keith Smith saying that they can only include one of them, and only including one of them isn't enough to avoid the 1st tax apron hardcap, so they'll need to include a bigger piece like McBride, Mitch Robinson, Randle, etc. instead if they care about avoiding the 1st hardcap (which they may need to do in order to re-sign OG).
