Nothing in between.

Or it's something in-between, & that's probably more likely, cuz they see some of the issues we do. They're not blind.

If we trade for Kuzma, that's almost as bad as Luka for AD

Say what you want about Horst, but he isn't the type to stand pat. I just don't know if there's a deal out there for us to make.

Perhaps we're just waiting out the Heat.

Then that would apply to making a big move too. One point was everything isn't a binary.

But as for something in-between, Brook, Bobby, '31 1st (worth 3-4 later ones), 2nd, AJ Johnson, Tyler Smith, Trent, Ajax, Prince, Green, etc.; are all ammo to do something in-between. Some of that stuff has objective value, others subjective. It's just a matter of will to swap players/assets to address needs like athletic big, 3&d wing, etc.

Agreed and our inaction shows the dire situation he's landed us in. My suspicions about no one being interested in what we're offering might be exactly what the hold up is.

Hard to tell with Horst. Will this be a PJ Tucker trade or a Serge Ibaka or Jae Crowder trade?

Low end
Trade Pat and asset to get under the second apron. Sign PJ Tucker after his buy out

Med end
Get Butler knowing it is a one year rental, don’t include our first

High end
Trade anyone and everyone not named Giannis to get dramatically more athletic and younger

I literally have no idea how we move forward but as constructed this team ain’t getting a ring unless something changes

Or you know, a Dame trade. I think Horst has a big sack, but hard to know how much decision making power he has. I suspect it’s less than we know

Try to recreate some championship magic. I’m not suggesting we do by the way.

Regardless of what happens I’ll just be happy when Thursday comes and goes. This has been an exhausting deadline so far for Bucks fans. All these crazy rumors and avenues of what should be done while the team is on a roller coaster season has been something..

Dame didn't get traded at the deadline.

Dallas has two good rim running centers and just added AD.

How about Milwaukee trading Brook for Gafford and Marshal?

Dallas gets a floor spacing 5 to play alongside AD and Kyrie.
Milwaukee gets an athletic backup big and a badly needed wing defender.

Mavs say no, in part because Davis wants to be the floor spacing big.

Mil
In: Kessler, Collins
Out: Portis, Lopez, 1st

Jazz
In: Lopez, WMJ, 1st
Out: Kessler, Collins

Det
In: Portis, Ajax
Out: WMJ

Utah gets an expiring and a first, Detroit gets some players, Bucks get a younger center and Portis replacement and they get under the 2nd apron.

Considering he hasn't shot over 30% from three since the 2020 postseason I think the Bucks could sell the Mavs on that being a dubious idea, but fair enough they could certainly roll with it anyway.

AD is playing the 4.

He's not really a floor spacer anymore. Brook makes a lot of sense for them.

If the Bucks are sending a big back that still maintains Dallas' newfound surplus, so could we get a 2nd back too in PJ Washington? They're either sending him to the bench or he's an odd fit for a 3. I'd send Bobby to another team, the Mavs get something from them they need, plus a top 10 protected '31 1st from us.

Their big rotation would be AD, Lively, & Brook. Looks quite good. But I'd happily take your deal too, & even add a little sweetener. Not the '31 1st, but Tyler Smith/Andre Jackson Jr/2nd.
