Indiana has turned down better offers than that. They're being quiet about it to try not to kill his value, but they'd love to move Sabonis.

Turner would be such an energy boost for this team. Is it even a feasible reality?

Random edit: So John Horst can't draft, but understands the cap and John Hammond doesn't understand the cap, but can draft decent. .... What in the what?

I really thought hedge fund billionaires could be counted on to put capable people in charge. I can't even trust capitalism anymore. 2020 blows.

Lowry is 34, Paul is 35.

Lowry has an ending deal and could walk for nothing after one season. Or he could be extended / resigned at a reasonable rate if he’s game to commit to Milwaukee.

Paul has an additional year locked in at a stupid high contract. But if he could play comparably to what he did this past season over the life of the deal it wouldn’t be so bad.

Lowry and Giannis know one another way better than Giannis and Paul.

John Hammond can draft decent?

I mean he made one amazing draft pick and a whole lot of Joe Alexander, Rashard Vaughn, John Henson, Thon Maker, Tiny Gallon, Damien Inglis, trading out of the Klay Thompson/Kawhi Leonard slot for Stephen Jackson-ing.

His complete inability to draft rotation players is why we’re in this current predicament of having next to no tradeable assets.

That's interesting. I always assumed that if they had to keep one center it would be Sabonis over Turner.

You're right. I was just trying to find some sort of balance in this grotesque ineptitude.

It's hard to judge whether the Bucks can draft or not because Horst has only made three draft picks and the highest he's ever picked was #17. Still, he's nailed his picks twice out of the three times he's drafted.

Please tell me we aren't so low that we're considering Sterling Brown a nailed draft pick.

At 46? Yes, that's a solid pick.

Come on man, he drafted a guy we invested 3 years into who couldn't crack a rotation, played zero minutes in the playoffs and probably won't even be kept on a minimum contract next season. That's not a win. That's like giving Charlotte a tip of the cap for drafting Dwayne Bacon because he's played NBA minutes. Monta Morris was taken 5 picks later, that's nailing a pick. Dillion Brooks was taken 1 pick ahead, that's nailing a pick. Brown is less egregious than DJ, sure, but "nailed it"? Come on man.

Brown's a reasonable result getting a playable dude there. Long way from a nailed pick though.

Horst nailed his finger on Bucks wall that's for sure.
3 Busts ( Wilson , Brown and DDV ) Don't react about DDV, thats my honest opinion, I could say he is a semi bust cause he plays D with energy and effort, whatever that means.

1 lost 1st Round pick from our pick leak
Atlanta was about to trade up for Huerter

Lost a 20M trade exception on the Brogdon deal

One last nail in this 2020 Draft and the coffin is ready...

P..S Is a McKinney still in our FO ?

Guys remember 2018/19 when DJ was Rodman for a few games. Ahhh that was the life...

How did Horst lose the trade exemption? From my understanding, we already had the Lopez and Hill deal signed when the TPE was presented for Brogs. Horst would have had to go back to both those guys and rework their deals, deals that were pretty much set in stone. Not a good look. Unless I'm remembering that wrong.

It would have been a $10 million trade exception, not $20 million, because of sign and trade rules.

Your DDV take is going to be the nail in your credibility coffin.

Sabonis neither blocks shots nor shoots 3s. He's a bad fit for today's NBA.

We needed to cut 1.6m in guaranteed salaries to keep it. Certainly didn't seem impossible.

How? If OKC is trading CP3 it is to get out from under that contract. We would need to offer up contracts that save them money. Even if we need to attach young assets, we have DDV, #24, and a 2022 1st.

That's a decent offer and in our minds, it should be good enough

But, Presti is a much better GM than Horst is. Look at what he got for Paul George and Westbrook.

There will be teams with better offers for Paul.

Unless Paul wants to only play for the Bucks and forces a trade here.

I'm just saying, everyone should stop assuming we're in the drivers seat with pole position for CP3, we're not.

Brown is still probably an above average player for where he's selected, but yeah I wouldn't call him a hit. But the hit rate in the 2nd half of the 2nd round is like 1 in 5 if we're generous.
