I was getting the impression during the press conference with Jabari, that Larry Drew was gone. He was aloof and despondent in my opinion. He also was the only one not in a suit and I found that sort of odd.

I want to play! Am I a dick or a fool? :D

This is all pretty crazy. Need to know what Lasry and Edens plans are.

Think it's pretty safe to say Drew wont be back next season though.

There's no way that Kidd returns to the Nets, so they'll obviously cave and take the 2nd rounder. It's better than just waiting, firing him, and getting nothing in return. They have no leverage. They should feel lucky to be getting a 2nd rounder. This will definitely happen. I don't see any way it doesn't.

This is good either way now though. There's no way Drew comes back after this, so we'll get a new coach no matter what.

1) wild guess on how this started. Sitting in a bar are two old friends, Kidd and Lasry. Kidd says "Man you guys are exciting, all I have to look forward to is working for the worst GM in the league." Lasry "You wanna bet? We got old bone." Kidd "Challenge accepted."

2) I also think I like Kidd more around young players than vets. There's more of an age gap there and he will probably have more clout with the kids than he would with vets he played with an against. Still a crummy human being, but so are a lot of coaches and players.

I find it hilarious that Hammond and King are reportedly negotiating compensation. I'd love to be in on those conversations.

L&E basically had 1 month to prepare for the draft once the sale was officially went through. Then you need to interview your candidates, get them in position, and then you're asking them to make 3 2nd round draft picks. Doesn't make sense.

Quit using reason!

Even when he was asked to comment on Jabari, he was struggling to come up with things to say. The entire time he was talking, I could help but think he had checked out.

I'm just hoping the bucks don't get nailed with a tampering charge. From the sound of the time line it sure looks like the bucks talked to kidd without permission. Would be heartbreaking to lose a 1st rounder for it.

Usually the penalty is a fine, like Phil Jackson's recent 25,000 dollar hit. Don't know why you'd be worried about a 1st. Also, if the Nets accept compensation, I doubt they are pushing it.

Edit: Oh yeah, and they gave permission, so this is all kind of meaningless.

you have to admit the fact the bucks have all the leverage and are actually using is very strange. Old bucks would have gave them a 1st and henson

they've made it clear they don't want him so what leverage do they have? We tell them to screw off, they fire Kidd are have to pay his contract anyways and then he comes and signs with us? I don't get it.

I'm open to the idea of Kidd as a head coach. He's one of the greatest floor generals of all time and I'd be excited to see what wisdom he could instill in Giannis and Parker. I definitely like him more as a coach than Fisher
