Who are the network consultants that tell them Draymond, Doris and Perk are people NBA fans want to hear?

We have to hope NBC is decent. Tirico will be good. I like Noah Eagle (never heard him do basketball though). Reggie has hired on. He's not great but better than when he first started. No idea how Melo will do in the studio or Crawford.

Amazon is a real wild card. Dirk, Nash, Wade, Parker, Blake, SVG. Reportedly Harlan will sign on to be their main PBP guy.

I cannot wait to cast my vote with the remote every time Draymond is slated to appear.

I have never understood how Perk got a TV gig. Draymond is pretty smart and would be totally fine if just talking basketball but he gets way too personal and comes off as a dick.

What sucks is this series is the last for the TNT crew. And Draymond will wreck it. Hopefully it's just the first two games.

I thinnk Crawford was decent in the studio when he's done in for TNT previously. I don't like Melo, never have, and can't imagine him being good...but who knows.

Ah yes, I know when I think of Family Man I think of (uhh) Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Shaq. None of them had any wife or children issues.

Perkins on a typical ESPN blowhard.

This is what is wrong with the NBA. They hire idiots who only talk trash about the product. The NBA coverage is literally gossip and trash talk about how teams need "dogs" and how bad the nba is because of 3's. for people like me who don't enjoy podcasts, there is literally noone on the television worth watching when it comes to NBA coverage.

Sir Charles:

“Hey ESPN, I love you guys. Don’t try to make Anthony Edwards the face of the NBA,” Barkley said. “The face of the NBA is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Joker, and Giannis. You can’t give it to people, they have to take it. And Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has taken it.”

It’s not the first time Barkley has taken aim at the network that will house his show next season. In fact, he has a long history talking down the Disney-owned channel. More recently, the Hall of Famer called out the “clowns” at ESPN for the network’s coverage of the Los Angeles Lakers. However, earlier this week, Barkley did call it “an honor and a privilege” to appear on ESPN’s airwaves.

Perkins and Windhorst were on a show together yesterday, and my flat screen snapped two bolts and fell off the wall from the weight.

Front Office Sports: How are you feeling about that decision and how hard was it to walk away?

Marc Lasry: Well, I think it was hard. I don’t think it’s ever easy. Life’s long dreams are either to play in the NBA or which that wasn’t going to happen. So then it’s to be able to own a team. I think that was a phenomenal accomplishment. I loved it. I had a great time. I think in what I decided to sell, I thought it was probably the right time. I could have waited an extra year. I could have done it a year earlier. I think for me, I wanted to focus on a few other things and I thought it made sense.

Marc Lasry: When I was looking at selling, I thought values would keep going up about 10, 15% a year. And I think that’s actually what’s going to continue happening. That’s not a big chop. Where you get a little bit more is when it’s a control piece, right? Where people want to control. I think you’ll see that continuing to go up. It’s hard. Like it’s not that it’s just going to stop. It can level off. It can go up 5%. May go up 10. I don’t think it’ll be going up 20 or 30%.

Ernie is still under contract but it would be cool to bring Ernie home. He's only done baseball as a play by play guy but I'm sure he could do basketball. Ernie and Marques would be top notch.

Simmons pod talked about how do they keep Stephen A Smith off the Inside The NBA show next year. They don’t know how ESPN can keep SAS out of their NBA coverage given his ego.

Russillo says ESPN might try to replace Kenny with Mina Kimes or something like that will F it up.

They are all skeptical of it working

“TNT is trying to do something stupid behind the scenes,” Barkley told Patrick. “We taped a pilot about a month ago and it was the stupidest sh*t I’ve ever seen in my life. Cause we’re not gonna be on ESPN as much as people think…we’re only probably gonna be working for ESPN like half the time.”

Patrick clarified that Inside the NBA will air on ESPN next season, but TNT still wants to create separate show featuring the same cast on their own network, which Barkley confirmed is correct.

“We’re probably going to work on ESPN one-third or half the time,” Barkley explained. “But they’re trying to do something stupid at TNT. Which is a stupid idea for a couple reasons. Number one, we won’t have basketball highlights. But also, we’re probably gonna be going up against a NBA game. And anybody who likes basketball, they’re not gonna say, ‘Hey, you know what? Let me turn off a NBA game on Amazon, ESPN, or NBC to go watch these four dudes sit around and talk about nothing’ …we taped a pilot doing stupid stuff and it was just stupid stuff. I wouldn’t want to go out like that.”

“I’ll give TNT credit,” Barkley added. “They did say it was an awful pilot… but I guess they want to feel like they’re doing something to make us earn our money from TNT.”

I feel like Wade is a pretty good analyst. Take it seriously, comes prepared. Maybe too seriously?
