Like the 56 points isn't even what killed us. It was scoring our 98th point at 8:56 and not scoring 103rd point until 3:03. We just can't have a 6 minute scoring draught. Dame would've hit 3 killer 3s in that period.

That's exactly my point. Dame and the influence he provides should put an end to a lot of these draughts we suffered through

I also hope with the reduction in usage/ballhandling for Giannis it should reduce his charges. Both for not having fouls in games but injury risk too. I first thought of this in some discussion on here regarding Giannis' D being a focus again and to the 'wing stopper' type like on a Jimmy/Tatum. An issue his whole career is putting him on guys like that exposes him to fouls and when he's getting 2-3 charges called on him in the playoffs you have to reduce his exposure on D

This absolutely should occur. Giannis is way more important on D now, so best use of him on offense, especially against good teams that can build a wall, is offball as a screener/roller who wrecks defenses with his gravity.

So I wanna see MarJon or AJJ start, but if you really wanted to get nuts offensively imagine starting AJ Green and the amount of open 3s he'd get

I hope this thing about Giannis not knowing about the trade is true. I dont like the idea of his brand being loyal and genuine when that's not who he really is. if he knew about it and approved it, the Giannis that we have been presented would have been the first one to contact Jrue after the agreement and give it to him straight. so, we can disagree on all of that.. i like my truth to be truth, not truth flavored or truth seltzer. I realize that in high stakes arenas you must be strategic but imo integrity still matters.

Hate to break it to you but Giannis has always been willing to trade guys he's close to. He was friends with Bled and we shipped him out, he was friends with Hill, Giannis got Bud fired after his brother died. Giannis is just as cold as any other player. All he truly cares about are his brothers and winning

But is any team going to even bother to guard Beasley or Brook on the perimeter? I’m assuming teams are going to have like 4 guys trying to cover Lillard and Giannis while the 5th is in the vicinity of Khris wondering if he should be helping the other 4. :D

Nah, first game I'm there to see Dame Time. I'm booing Beasley even if all 5 go in. I'm sure I'd be more rational at some point. Maybe?

I don't want to rehash Bud's firing as we've discussed that plenty on this board, but either way it's extremely cold to want your Championship winning coach fired right after he lost his brother, something you'd think Giannis would have a ton of sympathy for

Bucks not asking Giannis about the Dame trade is like me not asking my dog if he actually wants to go for a walk and just grabbing the leash and heading for the door.

As soon as Giannis said he asked to guard Jimmy and didn’t know why he wasn’t put on him, that was a wrap for Bud.

He probably gets canned anyways for losing to an eighth seed but that let the FO and fans know Giannis was fine with Bud getting axed.

Giannis has more sway in the Org than any of us even realize.

Giannis starting wagging his tail when he heard Horst tell the owners it was time for a “D-A-M-E.”

Thinking about D...So our best wing defenders are Dre and maybe Thanasis or Livingston?

Depends if you think any of Crowder, Shredded Midds, or Giannis can cover wings. I think Giannis would have been the best guy to guard Butler and Tatum but he had to carry such a load offensively and had an injury the other series, which meant it wasn’t an option. Now it is.

Just wait till Reggie Bullock gets bought out or something. Most overrated thing in the league has become this idea that you need an entire 8-man playoff rotation of guys that can all "switch". With Dame/Giannis/Middleton/Brook the offense is gonna be so unstoppable that all you need is a couple wings that aren't gonna get run off the court, and that's Crowder, Pat, plus whomever steps up between Dre, Marjon, and Beasley. If none of the young guys are ready then it shouldn't be too hard to go out and get one more serviceable 3&D guy off the street. Horst has done it plenty of times (Wes, Bembry, etc.)

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
