I don’t know how much the Clips actually value Mann now with their massive luxury tax bill and him due an extension. He’s the KCP type this team probably needs though.

I'm just glad we're finally going to get some actual rumors and an idea about player valuation soon.

Is Mann better than Khriss Dunn?

Mann always seemed to me like a Pat Connaughton level player that somehow has fooled people into thinking he's more. I've actually been fearing the Mann/Powell for Khris trade idea the whole offseason so far if George leaves them.

People keep saying this... I think mostly because they heard someone else here say it. Is Doc known for his player development or eye for talent? Doc seems to love coaching for the sake of coaching. I dont really buy all the pobo talk.

Okc is far and away in the best position to acquire Giannis. They would also become instant title favorites the second that move gets reported, provided that we asked for draft capital over young talent.

Giannis has to be aware of that.

So if we cant put together an actual title run next season.. something where we at least prove that we are really, really good and we get close enough to taste it...i will not at all be surprised if he asks for a trade with a private request to go to okc.

Giannis and nobody else in the history or future of the world is going to ask to get traded to OKC. Presti’s overrated pile of mediocre picks doesn’t come close.

Shame!

I’m not really sold on Mann. There’s been kind of a disconnect on what he is and what he could be. He’s young enough, but he’s not a prospect (he’ll be 28), and yet he keeps getting prospect treatment when talked about around the league. Kinda weird.

As a player, I don’t think he’s actually all that impactful defensively, solid, but not a guy who’s a stopper or a havoc creator. If you are looking at the bucks through the lens of just get a better player than Beasley in the starting lineup, he would certainly fit that.

I do think its possible he could have a mini jump in productivity once he gets off a team where their two best players are literally better than him at everything he does, and if he came to the bucks, he’d be our number 1 wing.

The thing I like most about him is he doesn’t seem physically overmatched come the playoffs when the physicality and intensity ramps up. He’s a guy who pretty regularly keep his or elevates his production.

He’d be a good sensible get for us, but I wouldn’t be ecstatic, and would still try to acquire another situational defensive wing, like thybulle to also have on the roster.

Would you rather have Terance Mann or Moses Moody?

As a leading member of the "let's consider trading Khris" crowd here, this would be a complete disaster.

What kind of player do you think they’d need back?

Seems like they’re very high on Ellis and would clearly rank him above Monk and Huerter.

Didn’t realize the extent to which the Kings credit him for the ‘defensive transformation’ while Mike Brown talks up his ‘swag’ and growth potential:

If Vivek is impatient enough to deal Keon Ellis yeah jump on it.

From the sound of it might need to be a Middleton trade.

Ellis has a team option at a couple million for next offseason too:

Brown agreed. He rewarded Ellis with several more rotation opportunities over the ensuing weeks, especially when he felt it necessary to get more disruption and defensive length on the perimeter. That, at this stage of Ellis’ career, is his appeal. Brown is trying to reform the Kings’ defensive identity and, in the 6-foot-6 Ellis, he feels he’s found a developing cog.

Brown and other members of his coaching staff use two words to describe Ellis’ defense: hands and instincts. Since he became a starter after the Huerter injury, his 24 deflections are the eighth most in the NBA. He averaged nearly two steals per game in March. He’s a menace off the ball, jumping passing lanes, while also handling some of the tougher one-on-one assignments.

Middleton and Pat
for
Barnes, Huerter, and Ellis

That one works. Sacramento has #13 and #45 if you think some picks have to be involved (either way, I don't know).

If he cares most about winning, which is all he has ever said, thats the destination.. plus, he probably would get less criticism asking for OKC vs someone like Miami or whoever.

Theres also Utah and New Orleans.

We will have none of our first round picks until 2032 at that point. Taking back a massive pile of picks is the move
