Reasonable Bogut Trade Idea thread

Just so we get this stuff on the record, I want to put some acceptable trades out there so people don't accuse me of wanting to deal Bogut for Carlos Arroyo.

I firmly believe this team needs to take one step backward to take two forward. Time to move on from the Bogut era while he's playing and may have really good value based on that 31/18 game the other night.

Here is what I would accept:

Bogut for Hibbert

Bogut for Love

Bogut for Ibaka, Harden a #1

Bogut for David Lee and Monta Ellis

Bogut for Horford

Bogut and Gooden for Cousins, Dalembert and Landry.

There may be more, but have at it. 8-)

No to all of those except the David Lee/Monta one and the Ibaka/Harden one.

Every team hangs up the phone laughing at those trades you'd accept, PP.

By the way, I'm full well expecting Bogut to smack down Hibbert tomorrow night.

You get that and I get that.

The challenge is that I think half the people on this board don't get that.

And that's my point. If this guy is so desirable a player, we should have no problem making any of those trades above. But he's not. He's a rich man's Erick Dampier or for an old time reference, Billy Paultz.

Next poll question. Greater amount of hate. GAD for Ray Allen or PP for Bogut?

No one hates anyone as much as GAD hates Ray Allen.

Trading him now based on his start wouldn't be smart, but I will say again we won't get equal value back in a Bogut deal regardless.

If I didn't know better, I'd guess that T.J. and Redd combined to rape and pillage midranger's village. It's really the only thing that makes any sense.

If you're doing a poll, throw me and Mo in there for fun. I don't mind. :)

Say he goes CV and starts to dominant in January and the Bucks are seeing the Bogut that we got for much of last year. I think you would see a market for a big guy like that. The question becomes would we deal him then? No, I don't think we could get a package like pp introduced above. But maybe could package Gooden in the deal and get back expirings and youth.

It would be a start over move and I'd probably do it.

You could probably get Green and a pick from Oklahoma. Maybe Green and Ibaka but I'd doubt it.

Yeah but your goal for quite awhile now is for the Bucks to be a 15-win team. ;)

Can we get off of trading Bogut. No team is willing to risk anything for a 1-armed man. I doubt we get Hibbert even though I think Bogut is the better player. On top of that it would be a PR nightmare again.

How about a Gooden trade thread?

I was told worse case scenario his contract would be easy to trade.

Bogut was a 3rd team All NBAer last year and was/still is dominant defensively. I think there is a market for Bogut right now and it would be a very good return. He's not dead.

Who said that?>

(Lemme guess, you aren't going to disclose that?)
