I stepped out of my apt here in Madison for two minutes and nearly got blinded by the snow/sleet/rain mix. It's awful.

I feel real sorry for you guys living in hell.
I stepped outside today and it was sunshine and 70 degrees.
Looking at those pics reminded me of what Dez Mason said once when he and
his wife stepped outside of the hotel when he first arrived in the Seattle trade
to Milwaukee and it was snowing sideways.

Was at work in Janesville until 10, heavy snow was falling. Get to the IL/WI border and no snow. Apparently it hasn't snowed in the Rockford area since 7 and won't start again until 2ish. That is quite odd.
Going to my graduation tomorrow at NIU with family coming in from Milwaukee. Hope things aren't as bad as they are being predicted to be.

It stayed warm enough long enough near the lake to depress the snow totals to 6" or less so they should be alright to travel and congratulations on graduating from college!

Not heavy up here. Worst snow storm I can remember. It's 8 degrees out, feels like -10 with the nasty wind, and my car is buried. It looks like the end of the world on my block.

The local whether folks and the DOT are totally irresponsible. The real story is how they are killing local business for the evening.
It is simple... unless it is a blizzard when you are leaving, go out, enjoy yourself, and keep an eye on the whether. If it looks like it is getting bad, head home. I was out until 1 last night and it was still just raining in Milwaukee...
Pathetic...

Just rain...but after this past summer, I fear rain. A basement flood in December would have been a fitting end to the year. .
