The 76ers look to improve to 6-0 at home Monday afternoon against the Bucks, who are trying to avoid opening a season with eight straight road losses for the first time in 35 years.

Philadelphia (9-3), off to its best start since opening 10-0 in 2000-01 - the season of its last NBA finals appearance - is winning with defense, unselfish play and its ability to protect the ball.

The struggling Bucks could receive a lift from Andrew Bogut, who is expected to play after sitting out against the Mavericks.

Bogut’s presence on the court usually indicates good things for the Bucks, who are 4-2 when he plays but have lost all five games he has missed.

Hard to see a win here. Bogut should rebound from his rest but we'll have to have everyone playing well to win.

I can't remember the last time we played Philly well.

I predict a blowout. 25 point loss here. Glad I won't be watching this one.

Bogut cleared to play per Ted Davis. I wonder is Beno is going to be back.

I'm assuming Moute won't play which is too bad because he does well on Brand. Lou Williams has been playing really well, curious to see if Livingston can slow him down. Iggy vs Jax would be interesting to watch if I didn't have to work today. I think this will be a fairly close game, all depends on defense in the 3rd and sharing the ball on offense in the 4th.

Happy MLK day everyone.

Moute didn't make the road trip. He is progressing well and is going to get re-evaluated before tomorrow night's game in which he might be able to play.

Evan Turner has been playing pretty well the last few games. I'm thinking this continues today.

Sixers are pretty dominant statistically. Pretty much strong at everything through 12 games.

First sentence: contains truth

2nd sentence: contains hope

I like both. But I am uncomfortable putting much weight on the second.

Memphis apparently still trying to give Mayo away.
The Nets are interested in acquiring Mayo for salary-cap reasons as they try to clear room to make a run at Orlando center Dwight Howard in the offseason. With that in mind, the Nets have offered fourth-year guard Anthony Morrow for Mayo.

The Nets have also offered point guard Jordan Farmar, a draft pick and cash in a separate package for Mayo.

Go get him already Hammond. Jennings/Mayo/Harris/Moute+Leuer/Bogut

And yet you are a religious man

(Sorry to lose your icon in the quote)

Without trying to judge the seriousness/playfulness of your statement, I'd say the jury is out on my religion. And probably will be until that final moment.

I mention the UU church here. Some would assert the UU is a church for folks who don't believe in religion.

I'd say it's a church for anyone who whatever their ponderings have yielded them in terms of belief in a higher power, are trying to pursue a spiritual path. Trying to share life together (as churches do, NOT as communes do) and believe in actions over a long time to try to make their neighborhoods and the world better places. (If any of you think you catch a scent here, yes, most of us are liberals or progressives or whatever phrase they've chosen - but a definite segment of us are libertarians and conservatives, and they're equally part of us.)

We have 7 basic principles. They include respect for all humans, indeed all things alive. And that things are connected, in ways that we don't yet fully understand. But no mandatory creed. Nothing you have to say, or believe, or sign to belong. You chose your life path; we try to assist as makes sense.

So much for that...
