I would love to amnesty him but we aren't going to do it and if we don't move him he is going to start.

which would make sense for an organization looking to rebuild and gain assets or even allow playing time for younger players to get better.

But not here, WIN NOW!

His destination should be on the curb, post-amnesty.

That's the reality. Just please send Gooden somewhere else. He could be a grossly overpaid, but serviceable 5-10 minutes/game guy for a real playoff team. He just does not belong here..... The game becomes un-watchable when he's in

I just hope this season he proves to suck at power forward like at center last season. Pushing out the notion that he was just out of position and Udoh/Henson will be enough in Hammond/Kohl's mind to warrant cutting him after this season with only 2 years left on his deal when we will have a ton of money to spend on a game changer.[/commonsensethathammondandkohldonthave]

Excellent plan! I might have to re-up my tickets for that.

Trade Gooden to a Wing Stop in Boise, Idaho. I'll even flip for his polo shirt uniform.

This should probably be bumped now that Ersan is signed. I'm guessing:

Beno/Gooden to ORL for Turkoglu.

Gotta make the face of our franchise happy!

If Ersan is locked up this would be my dream for the next two deals to give us a more balanced roster:

Move 1: Ellis/Moute to the Blazers for Wes Matthews/Babbitt
Move 2: Gooden/Udrih/Udoh to the Jazz for Al Jefferson
Move 3: Sign a vet PG

Lineup:
Jennings/TBD
Matthews/Lamb
Harris/Dunleavy
Ersan/Sanders/Henson
Jefferson/Dalembert

Still lacking star power on the wing, but this frees up Tobias Harris to show what he has. Plus I want size in the backcourt, so Matthews should be a nice fit with Jennings.

Gooden to the Clippers for Gomes 4mil expiring+Thompkins .762mil expiring deal (final year ungtd if waived by Aug 13, 2013)+Leslie .25mil gtd if waived by Aug 1 2012. Clears 1.16mil in salary before anyone is waived and basically all 3 could be waived now for 5 mil this year, but I'd assume that Gomes deal could be paired with Udrih for a more usefull asset. Why do the Clips do the deal? They sign and traded Reggie Evans to the Nets, and did not resign KMart so atm they have no back up bigs at all, and Gooden can play both positions and stretch the court a bit which neither of their starters can do and has playoff experience. I know its a long shot but worth a phone call. None of the 3 players they give up had any impact for them last year and probably won't this year either. Plus the Clips don't have a GM atm and seem to like signing inefficient players in Nick Young last year and Crawford this year.

Its sad how many players on that list have played for the Bucks. Definitely like Salmons or Turkeyglue, or really anyone with 2 years left. We can get one decent year out of them, then use their expirings as an asset. If we weren't so offensively inept as it is at SF, i wouldn't mind grabbing World Peace, like if Moute got traded.

lol that's what I was thinking just now. Geez it's gunna be hard trading Gooden for a bad contract that we didn't already have.

Gooden for Hedo even up no longer works since we gave up our cap space to retain Ersan's rights.

Gooden and Beno for Hedo and Duhon does work though under the CBA.

Tayshaun Prince for Gooden is our best roster fit trade, but not sure why Detroit does that.

I'd still offer Gooden/Udrih/Udoh to the Jazz for Jefferson/Bell.

Is it bad i'd even do gooden for salmons?? It un clogs the front court and gets us a quality back up at the 2/3 spot? And we also save on the final year

Gooden's most likely destination is Milwaukee Bucks' backup center for 24 minutes per game IMO.

Salmons hasn't been a quality anything since his contract year.

for a back up who can defend the 2/3 spot still and maybe he turns his career around? For 2 mil a year more this year and next and a million dollar buyout in the 5th year. Not so bad when your dealing drew gooden.

This seems to be the most attractive deal i've seen thrown out there.
