Aldridge: Skiles Unlikely To Return Next Season

No surprise but now the national media will start making this more of a story as the season goes along. We also get our first hint that Skiles may want to blow the team up. So Hammond wants to and if Skiles wants to I wonder what's holding them back? Hmmm ...

Aldridge also says it's more likely that Hammond will return next season.

Most surprising thing in the article is that it looks like Hammond will be back next year.

This article is filled with gems.

At least he learned from the Ramon situation.....

Hammond's research discovered that 74 percent of restricted free agents have returned to their original teams, so the odds are that the Bucks will match any offer, just as the Hornets matched the max offer the Suns gave Eric Gordon last summer. Then again, the Knicks fully expected to match any offer for Jeremy Lin.

Please don't keep Hammond, just sell the team already.

I think the article sums us up great in that we have no clear agenda or what we want to do with anybody or anything. If they plan on bringing Hammond back, can we get him locked in now so we have a set GM come trade deadline time.

Not shocked with Skiles obviously. The only part I took from that was there is no ill-will on either side.

Must surprising thing I took from the article is that Aldridge thinks that Jennings & Ellis are crucial to the long-term goal of building a contender. That couldn't be further from my opinion on the subject.

Ellis is who he is and he will be gone soon enough.

Jennings is a complete false god for anyone who thinks that a team can be built around him. No way in the world.

Yes, Aldridge definitely didn't seek RealGM posters for their opinion on Ellis/Jennings, ha!

There is no way Hammond should be able to keep his job.

If we win the Central this year they will probably both be at least offered extensions. I don't think theres any chance in hell Skiles is a coach for this team after this year though.

You may be right, but that's also a real condemnation of the poor quality of play in the Central

Just great.... Skiles likes Kohl. Kohl likes Skiles. Hammond likes Jennings. Jennings and Ellis like each other. One big happy dysfunctional family.

Well, we aren't winning the Central without a big move. Pacers and Bulls are better now without Granger/Rose, respectively.

Our franchise is dynamic.

Keeping Ellis and Jennings together would be crucial to any long-term hopes of building a contending team

"They've played well together," Hammond said.

Terrible.

Hire Phil Jackson, extend Ellis/Jennings IMO.

Jennings and Ellis have played well together, forming easily the least efficient volume backcourt in the entire NBA.

I realize the Bucks don't have any choice but to try and sell this mess but it's really sad when they make statements that are refuted by the simplest of facts.

19.4 + 17.8 = 37.2

You tell me how you find 2 players cheaper to replace 37 PPGZ!

It amazes me that supposed respected NBA writers still cite PPG without efficiency or pace (for teams). It's moronic.

We'd only be scoring 58.7 PPG without those two. You can't win many games like that.

 it is pretty hilarious, as if we wouldn't even have those possessions to take the shots if they weren't on the team.

PPGZ!!!!!
