In the Post this morning, Wall is asked about the Wizards needs in relation to the #3 pick.

Hammond needs to call Ernie and get this discussion going.

Washington navigated a different path to the No. 3 pick this time, needing luck to vault from the eighth slot in last week’s draft lottery. But Wall again is poised to welcome another highly touted young player to the fold.

“I don’t know,” Wall said of his hopes for the pick during a Red Bull-sponsored event at Gallaudet University on Saturday night. “It’s up in the air right now. I feel like we need a four man that can pick and pop, so we’ll just see.”

Moving out Ersan for the #3 pick makes a lot of sense if the team is bent on signing Josh Smith and keeping Henson.

As we speculated on this in the other thread, offer Grunfeld Moute as well if we need to get this done. I think he'd have a hard time turning down Ersan and Moute. Those two guys combined with Wall/Beal might get the Wizards to a 45-50 win team if it all came together.

I'd would make that trade. Not sure who to go for but at least we'd get a little luck going again and swing for the fences. I am not sold you get an Ersan caliber in the end, but you get a chance.

Actually I should have included in there our pick #15 as also being on the table.

And let's add in a Redick sign and trade for them as well as an asset and we take back a bad contract.

I really want Burke or Olidapo and #3 takes care of it.

I'd take Porter over either of those guys if there.

I'd trade Ers for 3 but doubt Was does. I'd target McLemore, then Porter.

This type of deal makes too much sense for the Bucks to actually do it.

Wiz fan here. While I think you could concoct a scenario around Ersan-for-#3 that would be viewed as "even", it doesn't excite me at all. We already have Nene, and there may be some other jumpshooting bigs in this draft that can be had for less.

But if Porter is gone at #3, and the deal was structured right, I guess I'd consider it.

Well tbh at least for the moment it's Grunfeld making the deals not Wall.

I'd rather keep Ersan, a stretch 4 works even better alongside an Ellis/Smith combo.

I would ROFL so hard if Grunfeld takes this Wall quote and connects it in his mind somehow with the recent Garbagni buzz.

That deal wouldn't even be possible cuz you can't do a sign and trade deal before the draft and if Redick is being signed and traded no other player can be in the deal, from what Milwaukee is sending out, besides him.

Funny thing is, The Wiz board has been talking about wanting Ersan for a good while. He gets a lot of respect on the board.

But at #3, if Zeller can really stroke it like he is showing, they might just want to pick him. Taller, has skills, hustles, rookie contract, etc.

And there is also the Otto option.

Ersan obviously is more of a known NBA talent so its a bird in the hand type thing over a rookie prospect. And there is the money difference.

But you did offer up a pick. That 2nd pick could land the Wizards a Withey, Dieng, Adams, type and they do need to add some length at center as a future center prospect.

Its an interesting offer.

Nene and Wall have 3 good feet between them

MIL- BJ #15 / Webster(s&t) #3
NO- Andserson / BJ(s&t)
WA- Webster #3 / Anderson #15

I think if the Wizards agree to a #3 and Ariza for Ersan and #15 the Bucks should take it. It would be well worth it to get Oladipo.

If you think Hammond/Kohl/Bucks are gonna trade Ersan for a draft pick, then I have to say you don't know much about how the Bucks do business.
