In addition to weighing possible trade for Lin, I'm told Bucks are pitching offer sheet to RFA Eric Bledsoe and pursuing PG Greivis Vasquez

This is why we got Jason Kidd. Recruit Bledsoe and have him force a sign and trade.

Will the Suns match anything on Bledsoe? What would a potential S&T look like? This feels like quite a long shot but I'd be extremely excited to get him.

Wasn't it pretty well reported prior to the start of FA that phx would match any offer? I'd be very apprehensive offering him anything over 12 mil a year.

Only want Vasquez if we also get Bledsoe.

I would think gettins Lin was about getting an asset for taking him. But what asset?

I see, it was confusing without quoting who you were responding to. Prima facie it looked like it meant we weren't negotiating with any of the players mentioned.
I agree with you about Vazquez, and would be averse to that signing because he'd make us a little better but not good enough while not bringing us extra assets. So it would be a classic Bucks' signing.
But it wouldn't surprise me if we made the playoffs with Lin in Kidd's system. It's faster paced like he played in New York where he was pretty good, and there is nobody to take the ball out of his hands at the start of clocks like Harden did in Houston.
As for Bledsoe, I'd lean that we make the playoffs with him because we'd project to have a plus defense with him, Sanders, and Giannis, decent offense with him, Parker, Giannis, and Middleton, and good bench with Knight, Ers, Zaza, and Wolters. Not that it's my priority, I just think we would.

Any number of the guys being stored in Houston's "Draft N Stash" pantry-Clint Cappella, Kostas Papanikolaou, Sergio Llull, Marko Todorovic and possible future picks.

Motiejunas + a future 1st. We'd possibly be empowering them to get Melo, taking a player we didn't necessarily want, and each asset doesn't project to be impactful individually, so we should get that, Petey.

I find it interesting that Gardner is Tweeting these rumors as well. In the past, he would stay quiet on rumors unless they definitely had merrit to them.

If we do a sign and trade for Bledsoe don't be surprise if Giannis is going back to the suns. What other assets do we honestly have?

suns gm has been saying for months they will match any offer. I think they would entertain a sign and trade but they would want legit value in return. I also doubt they would want package of average pieces back since they have a lot of that already and are trying to add impact players. Money won't be an issue for suns with Bledsoe suns are way under the cap and Sarver has been telling the media here he's cool with going over the luxury tax in the next few years. Sarver gets branded as cheap but did pay the tax 3 times and was always top 10 in payroll during the Nash years. The bucks best chance would be to find a 3rd team that would want guys like Henson and knight and could send the suns a good big man. If sanders hadn't went off the rails he's actually a guy who would fit how the suns want to play.

Bledsoe:
-.48 OxRAPM
+2.99 DxRAPM
The latter is an enormous number for a guard.
#7 PG, #27 OVR by RPM, +.10 on O, +3.96 on D, the latter good for 13th in the league. Four factor defense:
http://www.gotbuckets.com/statistics/ff ... m-defense/Only shot 33% on catch-and-shoot threes. If he's getting run with Giannis and Parker, he MUST improve that figure
52.9% FGP on drives. 7.8 drives per game, 8.6 PTS per 48 minutes on drives which ranks his 12th in the league.
Four factor offense:
http://www.gotbuckets.com/2014-ffapm-offense/Shooting must improve. Similar to Knight in he needs to cut out his bad shots, but also needs to nuture his jumper into something viable.
The slashing ability is there. The defense is there. The shooting might get passable. This is a sharp instrument that must be used properly.

That's not even close to getting Bledsoe.

That's not happening in our universe or any other universe in the real/imaginary time x/y plot.
