It's good to see them going after Jordan, but with the Vasquez deal, do we even have enough money to offer him?

And if they do sign him, which would be nice, the pick they gave up for GV will likely get better making that trade even worse.

Good point. Here's hoping Steve Ballmer's crazy ass loves spending money to stay relevant.

They have Bird rights on Middleton, I believe they just needs to sign him before Middleton, but not 100% sure how that works.

It's nice to want to meet with Jordan, but doubt they have a real chance. I have to believe if Jordan wants to leave the clips, lakers or Mavs will be in the drivers seat depending on what Aldridge does.

Please god no. Can't stand him at the price he's going to command. He's just a big dumb unskilled guy who's kind of like the bad guy you fight at the end of level 5 or 6 in an old-school video game or a seemingly superhuman opponent hyped up to fight Hulk Hogan in his prime; impressive, but ultimately just fodder to bring out the best in the legit good players in the league.

I think we need to make another move to re-open max cap space after acquiring Vasquez.

Yeah, not like he's the league's most efficient offensive player or best rebounder. Sucks on defense too.

Yeah he's definitely not a good use of Max dollars. He has zero skill on offense, isn't a team leader, and you cannot have him on the floor at the end of games due to his extremely poor FT shooting.

Kick the tires and then move on to the next car.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

He is NOT the league's most efficient offensive player. He is the league's most efficient finisher when spoon-fed at the rim and his efficiency stems not from offensive skill but rather from a total lack thereof in the sense that he isn't allowed to take any shots except dunks, and rightfully so. Really poor choice of words though.

He is a good rebounder, but not all rebounders are good defenders. In fact, some of the most prolific rebounders are horrible defenders (Lee, Love) precisely because they chase rebounds at the expense of playing their assignment. Jordan is not as bad as Love or Lee, but he's closer to them than he is to great rebounders and defenders like Big Ben or Mutombo. Even comparing him to Camby on defense would be generous, and Camby was a very over-rated defender.

The Bucks clearly don't want/need a highly skilled offensive big man with the style they're aiming to play.

Guys like Jordan and Chandler are a perfect fit for this team. They rebound at highly effective rates, run the floor extremely well and play great defense. You're going to overpay him, but you're probably going to overpay Chandler too. Might as well overpay the younger, better of the two.

Rather have Chandler I guess, if that's the choice of who to throw money at.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I wonder how happy Jordan is about the prospect of playing with Lance Stephenson...

If we really want to make a run at him, we probably have to have a plan to give away Mayo or Bayless. Otherwise I don't think we have the cap space to sign max guys like Jordan or Lopez (if he's really a max guy) any more.

Or maybe it'd be a sign and trade. Our best shot would probably be if we are the Clippers' preferred spot to deal him.

I don't think Dallas is so enticing an option other than the Cuban factor. Dirk is old, Parsons had a bad knee injury, Ellis is leaving for nothing. And the Lakers still have Kobe, plus Jordan would be cast as a villain for going to the other LA team.

Also trading the Clippers pick right before we make a run at Deandre would be odd. But if we sign him no one would care.

I do think MCW/Vasquez could feed DeAndre for some dunks, and his athleticism helps to give us some easy offense, but I think he's overrated as a defender and he would make our floor spacing even worse.

Here is Sheridan's latest FA rankings he put out yesterday.....

http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2015/06/25/sheridans-top-50-free-agents-late-june-edition/

After NJ gave up a center and Portland acquired one last night, I see us signing Rolo for 4/$50.

And I also see us agitating with Jimmy Butler but don't see that it goes anywhere.

In other news, Lopez has opted out of the final year of his contract.

It actually makes the trade look better. Its 2017 pick n lottery protected. So if they lose Jordan this yr maybe they barely make playoffs in 2016. If that happens the team could go into rebuild with Paul getting old and wanting to go win. They lose a couple pieces than they are a lottery team for a couple yrs and that pick is nothing.

Couldn't we just tell Dudley to opt out, then we would have 20 million in space again?

Im not the biggest Jordan fan but a max deal to him isnt terrible with cap going up 30mil in the next 2 years. And you have to atleast marvel at the fact he will hear us out...I mean we have gone from a 15 win team to a team that big names will take a look and give us a pitch. Thats a big improvement and exciting.
