Beasley didn't want to return to the Bucks, he said, because of playing-time issues under coach Jason Kidd. His minutes per game was second-lowest of his career.

"Minutes for me, there just wasn't what I wanted to see. Not that I'm not interested in helping the young guys, but I didn't feel comfortable watching 30-plus minutes of basketball a night. I think I've deserved more minutes than I've gotten. Going forward, I feel I'm good enough and proven myself enough to not watch more than half the game every night."

"Look at my nine-year career, I've always been close to a point a minute. I've always been a walking bucket. Nobody can stop me, hasn't stopped me my last nine years. Every time I've touched the ball, the defender's scared. I'm at the point of my career I'm just tired of not getting the acknowledgement of being who I am.

If this is the way Beasley is talking, it's no wonder he only got a minimum contract. Jason Kidd handled Beasley perfectly. Defenses stopped Beasley pretty well his first 7 seasons (47.1 eFG%). If he wants to play the way he's played the majority of his career, he's going to find himself back in China in no time.

Likeable guy, I'm going to miss watching him cheer on his teammates.

As a player, he has a ton of individual skill but no clue about 5 vs 5 basketball. Not the kind of player this team needs right now.

Beasley's comments here I feel will prove to bring some extremely entertaining moments in New York. He certainly showed signs of accepting what he is at this point but no, he's ready to take over. Only fitting he ended up a knick.
