The other thread was going to hit 100 pages this month anyway so we'll start a new 2017 thread

Closing in on finishing up Black Mirror. Easily the best produced series on TV. I'll rank my top episodes after I finish all 3 seasons. Would be curious to hear everyone else's, I've done the same with my friends and we all kind of like different episodes. Makes for a fun discussion. There's been at least one or two all time greats each season thus far, imo.

I'll go with

Top Tier
15 Million Merits
White Bear
San Junipero
White Christmas
National Anthem

Middle Tier
Entire History of You
Be Right Back
Nosedive
Men Against Fire

Low Tier
Shut Up and Dance
Playtest

**** Tier
Waldo Moment

Outlier - Hated in the Nation - just felt too much like a procedural and not like a self-contained anthology episode

I'm starting Man in the High Castle. I like it after five episodes but the importance of the films is baffling to me at this point.

Alexa Davalos hasn't aged a day in 14 years. It's nuts.

10/10
Entire History of You
San Junipero

9/10
15 Million Merits
National Anthem
White Bear
Shut Up and Dance

8/10
White Christmas
Nosedive
Playtest
Hated in the Nation

7/10
Men Against Fire
Be Right Back
Waldo Moment

Man I really want to get into Vikings cause I fux with swordplay, but nobody tunes into that show to watch Ragnar Lothbrok's marital issues play out. Not enough battle axes, too much whispering & relationship strife.

I love Vikings, but it does seem to have turned into a more complex relationship show from it's bloody beginnings

Getting to the end of Westworld. Just finished Bernard's reveal. This show refined itself nicely after a slow start.

Is anyone still watching The Good Place on NBC? I love it so much, it does a good job filling the Parks & Rec sized hole in my heart (same creator).

Did you watch Waldo pre or post Trump? I thought it was one of the worst before the elections. Rewatched it recently and some of the quotes are surprisingly appropriate.

My top three

San Junipero
Hated in the Nation
15 million merits

I did watch pre-Trump, and while I think it may have more salience now, the stretch from "cartoon that people prefer to any actual candidacy" to "1984 society where people have willingly surrendered their freedoms to a cartoon character and the shadow cabal behind it" is not well-enough established.

It's a fun ride, a little up and down, but some real mind blowing episodes. Enjoy.

The new season of Sherlock is brilliant. Cumberbatch is kind of good.

I started it a few days ago. Needless to say the nights without Bucks games I counted on sleeping, were also ruined
Just finished the episode you mention (7). I plan to see 1 or 2 more between the time my wife sleeps (not a fan of this type of series) and the game starts tonight. Now off to request the day of tomorrow

Yea, my roommate couldn't get into it and I try to avoid dominating our living room tv for something we're not both interested in, but he had to just deal with this one for a few days.

Did you finish? :eek2:

No. Yesterday I saw 6 and 7. During the weekend my wife was sick and was sleeping early, so I did the 5 first episodes.
1 or 2 more today, should be done by the end of the week.

Ah, hadn't noticed the time on your previous post. See you on the other side.

I'm surprised by the universal love for San Junipero. I thought it was okay but didn't love it. I like my Black Mirror more thriller-y.
