Might as well combine them all into one for 2017.

What's everyone playing these days? I'm still balls deep in BF1, though FIFA may be making a resurgence soon. I'm also thinking of playing through TLOU again.

Past few weeks I've been playing Skyrim Remastered since I never played it last generation.

I've been enjoying it quite a bit.

I thought about buying BF1 during Origin's Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale, but I picked up Overwatch and DOOM.

I haven't gotten to DOOM yet.

I haven't gotten around to playing much lately. I'm in a Madden league at work and we just entered the playoffs this week.

Other than that, I finished Batman: Telltale Series and I have the itch to re-play Mad Max and Diablo 3. Looking forward to the new Spiderman game.

My son has just started playing The Last Guardian on the PS4, it looks pretty amazing.

Factorio. When I finally have some time at home again (been traveling for work) I plan to start The Witcher3.

I've exhausted just about all there is to do and see in FF XV outside of some level 99 dungeons, and I don't think the rewards are such that it'd be worth it. My last save is in the middle of one dungeon and it took me hours to get to that point. The game isn't fun when it's just a war of attrition and the only thing that matters is how many healing items you're carrying.

So on to something new. Probably gonna pick up Battlefield.

Here's my take on the games of 2016:

1 - Dark Souls 3
2 - Fire Emblem Fates
3 - Final Fantasy XV

These disappointed me:
MLB: The Show '16
Overwatch
Battleborn (this one was fine, but my disappointment stems from Gearbox not just giving us Borderlands 3)
Firewatch
No Man's Sky

Games I liked, but didn't love:
Doom
Odin's Sphere Leifthrasir
Salt and Sanctuary
Darkest Dungeon

Games I have but haven't played enough of yet:
Battlefield 1
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Titanfall 2
Stardew Valley
Dishonored 2
The Division

Guessing one or more of the games in that last category will end up in my top five.

RS, did you end up finishing FFXV's story, or did you just side quest around until you had your fill?

The first half of 2017 is looking amazing. Tales of Berseria, Mass Effect Andromeda, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Persona 5, and I'm probably forgetting a few.

Anyone play MTG? I'd love to get some modern games in.

I finished the story. I think that was my least favorite part of it, though. I was pretty overpowered from questing so once I got to the later chapters I sprinted through them.

I like taking on the high level bosses and enemies. But man, once you get into the 80+ level dungeons they make you take on room after room of annoying damage sponges. One boring battle this weekend took me an hour, despite all my characters at level 99 and equipped with some of the best gear.

After that battle was when I was like yea, I'm done with this.

I've been obsessively jamming the Vintage Cube on modo for the past month. Haven't touched Modern in a long while, but I'll be testing a lot of post Revolt Standard in preparation for an RPTQ.

I've been thinking about breaking the seal and trying Modo. My problem is I have so much money tied up into paper, I can't bring myself into investing more money online. Do you own your cube? Could we play online with out me owning the cards?

I wouldn't mind playing Standard again. I like how they went back to the old rotation schedule.

I'll likely never get to that point. I've never been much of a completionist.

I don't mind long battles, but yeah, I'm not interested in a slog through arbitrarily high defensive stats.

I struggle when the "get higher numbers to beat things with higher numbers so you get higher numbers" aspect of RPG gameplay becomes too apparent. I get that it's always nestled underneath, but when it's laid bare, I lose interest quickly.

I don't spend much money on modo, just enough to play limited formats. Their throwback drafts (ROE!) and Cubes are the big draws. The Cubes are maintained and owned by Wizards. Those drafts are cheaper though, and the prize payouts are enough so that if you win a reasonable amount of the time, you can chain drafts for free.

Excited for Mass Effect Andromeda. I feel like the Mass Effect universe still has a ton of unlocked potential.

I'm currently 3 hours into multiple games (really need to pick one and finish it): The Last Guardian, Tomb Raider, re-playing God of War 3 remastered, and the new Pokemon. Tomb Raider has really impressed me. Quite an intense game

Upgraded my alienware from a 760ti to a 1060 3gb card for 175 and have zero regrets. Been playing basically overwatch and csgo.

Thoughts on overwatch. Great game. I was ranked 2700 and over the holiday weekend dropped to 1900. Play with a group of 3 or 4 friends but get pulled down by trolls. Anyone have any tips on how to keep a rank? I main Lucio or ana but then trolls end up going hanzo.
